I Might Have Gone to Wingate

I originally chose Campbell because it was far enough away from a big city, so I wouldn't be distracted. I've met a lot of great people at Campbell, but if I could do it all over again, I might have chosen to go to Wingate. I say this because I always miss my family when I go back to school, and when I first arrived at Campbell, I didn't know anybody at all. It would have been nice to at least know one or two people in my classes so that we could study together without feeling awkward.

Like I said before, I've met a lot of great people at Campbell, and we always have a lot of fun taking trips to Raleigh to go shopping or watch hockey games.

A Couple Teachers Need to Be Fired

Overall, Campbell has a very diverse group of professors based on age, teaching style, and friendliness. A couple teachers in particular should probably be fired because of their inability to teach, but other than them, the professors at Campbell are excellent. Students are highly encouraged to form study groups and meet with professors if they don't understand things or need some guidance.

Advisors could probably use a little help, though. Based on my experiences and experiences of my friends, our advisors tend to put all the responsibility on us to deal with registration and getting our questions answered.

As far as workload goes, students are not allowed to take more than 18 credit hours unless they have specific permission from the dean. Not even taking into account the amount of credit hours someone is taking, workload differs greatly depending on which teachers you have. Some give no homework at all, while others assign it every night.

Make Sure You Have Rainboots

Campbell tends to flood when it rains a lot, so you MUST have rainboots. It doesn't really snow or get super cold, so ice on the sidewalks isn't a problem. However, since Campbell is so far away from shopping centers and movie theaters, it's tough to find fun things to do when the weather is gloomy.
