Buffalo has a bad rap where weather is concerned, but it is undeserved. Though occasionally winter feels like it lasts until April, and admittedly, there will be a crazy blizzard here and there, Buffalo is always blessed with all four seasons in their entirety.
There are subtle yet perceptable changes in the air that usher in the seasons: the crisp but warm early-October breeze that has a pleasant smell somehow identified with pumpkins, the first snow in December that wraps around the houses, the whiff of grass and mud with a wink of sunshine in March, and the hot day in May that is a precursor of better things to come. You probably won't get a great tan at Canisius. But you won't be bored—Buffalo weather is certainly not monotonous.
