I like the days that my classes are offered, so I don't have any frustrations regarding to flexibility of my classes. The only problem I encountered was not understanding how different it is to get a loan at a community college in comparison to a university. At UNCW, they made it so easy. So when I went to CFCC, I had no idea I was to file my loan applications on my own.

I enjoy online courses; however, some classes seem to be more difficult without a face-to-face interaction with a teacher.

I obtained a B.A. from UNCW in Environmental Studies, concentrating in coastal resource management. I love the program I'm in currently because it has increased my technical and scientific knowledge.

I have enjoyed making friends and stepping out of my comfort zone. I live at home so it is easy to just float by without talking to anyone. Getting to know the professors is also fun. I have attended a basketball game and it was very fun watching the guys team play. I would not choose to do it all over, because I believe you are where you are for a reason, and why change that when it could turn out to be something for the good.

The school has wonderful potential. It is a community college, so there are things that could be worked on; the dining could be updated as well as study spaces for the students. The professors do not always have the student's best interest. Overall it is an average school, a good college to attend to tansfer to a four year University.

Everyone seems nice. There is a wide range of ages, races and walks of life.

If you're interested in getting in and out with an associates, this is the school for you. I recommend it if you're trying to save money. It's a financially smart choice. But don't expect it to be like attending a university where you create a community around you.

At this time, I can only speak about the resume review. I simply uploaded my resume and got prompt, good feedback.

I am an allied health major. My class only has 20 people, and we all move through the curriculum at the same time, so the class and the teachers all get to know each other very well.

I have had some great professors. Registration is mostly online, but your adviser is typically available to help you if needed.

They offer a variety of classes in several subjects. Transferring credits within the UNC system is a breeze

I went into Cape Fear thinking that I wanted to be a paralegal however I found the classes so interesting that I decided to seek a 4 year degree in legal studies and hopefully go on to law school

I am a stay at home mom and I wanted to go back to school, so online classes were really my only options as far as financially. I could not afford to get childcare for classes everyday. It is challenging to stay on top of your assignments, but I love it. I feel as though I learn more doing it online.

I believe our school has an excellent computer network. The library has easy access to printing, and I have never had a problem hooking my computer up to campus wireless

Although it is good that I have the opportunity to take my first main classes at a community college, it doesnt give me access straight to pharmacy school as much as a university.

My professors are very efficient. They are always very willing to help on any questions. There are excellent special study programs such as the learning lab.

I believe CFCC has amazing resources. The library is especially good. The workers there are very helpful, plus the access to the learning lab and extra help is always there.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
the financial aid process was a little bit different for cosmetology students because we had to reach a certain amount of credit hours before our financial aid was released. Also cosmetology students do NOT get financial aid for the summer semester even though it is a requirement to go to summer semester, it was almost a set back for me because i was unaware of this before starting the program.

cape fear offers a variety of clubs, sports, and organizations for the students to get involved in

cosmetology is a unique program because it is based off hours that we attend class, so if we dont show up them we dont get credit that goes towards us completing the program. This program allows us to be able to work in a salon with a permit or assist in a salon until we obtain our degree
