So far the academic counselors and financial aid counselors have been amazing. I start July 8th for classes and am excited to start because it will be a different experience from Kaplan University and so far I like what I have learned through the tutorials on the classrooms and professors bios.
Hi jslmao0127, I went to Kaplan and hated it, I transferred to Phoenix got my bachelors and am now doing my masters at Capella. You will love Capella, the Professors and Drs. are wonderful! Look me up in the school directory if you have any questions!

The professors are very understanding if you are not always giving excuses for being late on assignments. Most will work with you to help you through the course work if the course work is difficult for you and or advise you on any tutoring options that's available.
The reason that I chose Capella is because I felt that an online school would give me the flexibility to work on my time an do things in a reasonable amount of time which it does. The courses that I've taken have been the 10 week courses which spread the course curriculum over the ten weeks making the class durable. In regards to transferable credits they accepted many of my credits from my previous school so I didn't have to take many base classes before I begun in my chosen degree which was fantastic.
My classes are all online so therefor the most socializing done is via email. Most of the students are from different parts of the country so email is the best way to communicate. I can say that as one progress through a degree you fine the same students in other courses so you sort of know others as you go on an fulfill your degree requirements.
The courses are great. Several of the instructors, although they have doctorate degrees, need to take courses on how to teach online. Adult students require interaction and feedback from the instructors. Adult students want to feel the online presence of the instructor--not just have assignments graded with little or no feedback.
