College Jolt Blog Managing Editor Internship

Are you an English or Professional Writing student looking for editorial experience and internship credit? College Prowler Inc., the Pittsburgh-based publisher of the only complete series of college insiders' guides written by students, is actively seeking a managing editor to oversee our new college blog by managing a network of remote college bloggers, editing blog posts, and devising creative story ideas that resonate with college students.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a large team of remote student bloggers from across the country, keeping them engaged and creating and holding them accountable to deadlines
• Track news and trends relevant to students by following various blogs, media outlets, and social networks
• Schedule and maintain a consistent flow of content, mixing relevant and timely news posts with more general content about college life
• Grow blog traffic and readership through online marketing initiatives

Requirements:

• Outstanding writing and editing skills
• High energy, strong team player, motivated, self-directed, and creative
• Able to come into our office at 5001 Baum Blvd. (near Oakland) 2 to 3 days per week, 15 hours each week
