Photojournalism Internship

College Prowler Internship
Location:Work remotely
Length:1-2 Months (5-10 hours per week)
Requirements:A camera and a sense of adventure

College Prowler Inc., the only publisher of college insider guidebooks written by students, is actively seeking talented students who can tell their school's story through photos.

There are two basic components to this internship: taking photos/writing photo captions and surveying students, with emphasis on the photos. Although we'll give you clear, specific directions regarding the types of photos we'd like you to take, there is an opportunity for creativity in this position–both in your photography and your captions. Like a virtual tour guide, you'll show students significant features of your campus–from a typical classroom to an actual tray of food at the freshmen cafeteria—and describe each picture so prospective students understand what they're viewing and how it fits into student life.

Requirements:

  • Open to any enrolled college student working toward a bachelor's degree
  • Must enjoy taking photos and have experience uploading them to a computer, renaming the photo files, and resizing photos
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
  • Able to start immediately and work approx. 5-10 hours per week

What's In It for You?

  • Possible internship credit
  • Resume-building experience
  • Letters of recommendation

HOW TO APPLY:

Send an e-mail to Bridget Daley (bridget@collegeprowler.com), with the name of your school in the subject line, briefly expressing your interest. Please also attach your resume.
