Far a small campus, Carleton has plenty of unique facilities to go around. The Rec Center is tremendous. You can play all the free pool and ping pong you want in the Great Space, and you can go swimming at the pool in West Gym. The only thing you will have to pay for here is laundry, food, copies, school supplies, and textbooks. There are free movies, sporting events, concerts, and numerous other activities. The Cave is a cool place to go for a Friday night concert, and you can often chill with the band that’s playing after their set. The Cave is a small venue, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere.
Carleton makes sure to keep all of its services up to date and modern. Computers in the public labs are recycled for faster models every couple of years. The library is constantly searching for ways to expand its database and collection. The maintenance staff is dedicated to their jobs, and they’ve been featured in the Star Tribune for taking money out of their own paychecks to create a scholarship fund. Science labs are never lacking, and all classrooms have access to overhead computer projectors and television sets. As far as facilities go, Carleton puts your $42,000 tuition to good use.
