The thing I don't like is there are not scholarships for graduate (or undergraduate much) students, all financial aid and loans

We have one cafe and though have fairly good choices, hours are not always commensurate with class times and some things are expensive. $5 minimum on credit card

There is no student union, there are some events on the campus but students are rarely informed about them until the day of the event. Difficult to attend them due to poor communication

Housing near the school is expensive (approx. $1,000 for a 1br), so it depends on your budget. Most people move 10 or more miles form the school for a reduced price though they then often face traffic. If you find a good place, check on waiting lists as apartments w/good prices often have 6 mth waiting list

Most of the networked computers are slow and so is the network. Its okay for most social networking, email, and researching. Don't expect to watch videos on the wifi.

Not a lot around the school but numerous options all over Miami
College Junior 2013-11-30T03:35:37Z
It depends on the program. There are inner politics and things not handled properly in some programs at the school.

You need a car, there is no campus transportation systems and public transportation is available.

So I hear, I am not much into the bar scene

I enjoy the PsyD program, workload and curriculum are stimulating and challenging. Faculty are great. Facilities are not the best (finding a quiet place to study is challenging) and computers are fair. A bit on the expensive side (vs. state programs) but for PsyD's is fair.

The program admission requirements were comparable to other universities with the exception of not requiring the GRE. Letters of recommendation, some experience, and the interview appeared most important for getting into the doctoral program. Tips for admission would be to practice interviewing questions you can find online, or have mock interviews with friends.

Not much of anything is offered at this school and there is no student center. There is a library, a student lounge, a computer lab, and some picnic tables with concrete benches.

Although there are few majors (psychology, counseling, education, and business), there is plenty of what you need for those majors

It's Miami, so at certain times of the year, there may be rain but it is warm most all year round with plenty of sunshine.

I received one scholarship for disadvantaged students my first year in my graduate program. After that, there were none available. I believe there are some state offered undergraduate grants that the school will obtain for you but there are few if any actual scholarships for undergrads also.

Most people drive to school as there are no on campus residences and being a smaller school, no real need for school buses. There are bus stops somewhat nearby and Miami-Dade public transportation in comparable to any large city.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
