Good Racial Diversity, but Political?

I've met people here that I never would have met otherwise. There is a large international student population and everyone is very accepting. Politically, the campus is largely leftist, and sometimes those of differing viewpoints are not as accepted.

Laptop Is a Must, Don't Bother Buying a Printer

The wireless network is really fast, and generally very reliable, but it has gone out at some pretty inconvenient times (eg finals week). The wired internet is also awesome. There's no need to bring a printer with you because there are printers EVERYWHERE on campus. The one downside is that your quota is limited, and if you need to print in color or on large paper, it can get pricey; some people run out and end up mooching off others or forking over some $$ for PlaidCASH.

Amateur Professors

They have a host of British-trained professors, which is a problem since they don't TA while they are getting their PhD's. Their teaching skills are lackluster, and they have a very limited number of published papers. This is an issue if you want to go to grad school and need to get recommendations. However, there are a number of faculty that teach only one course, and these members are erudite and reachable.
