Outside of alcohol, drugs aren't really common. Nobody pressures people to drink.

I did not think that I would get much in the way of financial aid, but the scholarships that they give out to pretty much everyone are a big draw for many people.

Between uptown and little Italy, you'd be crazy not to get off campus for a meal every now and then.

The weather provides a new experience every day. You get to witness mother nature's many emotions, but it is actually pretty cool.
College Freshman 2013-11-19T03:18:57Z
Case is the best college.
College Freshman 2013-11-19T03:16:38Z
I have tons of greek friends, and tons of non-greek friends. As a non-greek I think there is a great relation, and nobody cares if you are one or the other.

I love going to watch some of the sporting events on the weekends. The guys swim team has some of the best bodies in northern Ohio.

Guys & Girls:
I don't see where some of the ratings on the ladies come from. If you are a normal person, you will be able to get a hot lady friend.

I've never been without WiFi on campus. I've never used the wired network but I've heard it's godly. You should see the speed tests on it.
College Freshman 2013-11-19T03:09:19Z
Health & Safety:
I have no doubt that Case has the most friendly police officers in the country. Officer Mark at the Euclid and Adelbert crossing knows the names and interacts with hundreds of students every day. You will also never go ten minutes walking around campus without seeing police or security due to the multiple area police forces that overlap campus.

Besides the occasional idiot who is throwing a party in the freshman dorms, nobody gets in trouble for anything that isn't ridiculously illegal.

Campus buses, public buses, public rail, and late night campus shuttle provide transportation throughout campus and Cleveland all day and night.
College Freshman 2013-11-19T02:59:55Z
A lot of spaces are available. You pay what you'd expect in a city the size of Cleveland.

Live in mistletoe freshman year. Best dorm layout.

Kelvin Smith Library is great; huge, modern, lots of resources and it's a really nice quiet place to study. Most of the buildings could use some help as they're getting kind of old. The athletic center sucks, basically. Lots of green space across campus. Nobody really uses the student center, but they're building a new one which is looking really nice and I'm predicting that it's going to get a lot of use. The dining halls on campus are pretty nice, though.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T23:28:15Z
Case is primarily a research institute, so if you want to participate in research, you will find it here.

Guys & Girls:
Because a majority of the students here are pre-meds or engineers, pretty much everyone is a nerd. Not all nerds are anti-social though, so you'll find a good amount of pretty normal people. Just smarter than average.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T23:10:55Z
If you don't want to drink in college, you will have no problem finding other people just like you. If you're looking for a party, you might find one, but the party scene at case is relatively low key.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T23:09:32Z
Wireless can sometimes be spotty across campus, but it's always strong inside the buildings. Ethernet is ungodly fast, and case supplies every student with an ethernet cable during orientation week so you're basically good to go. Printing on campus is kind of annoying, because they use WEPA kiosks which are kind of sparsely scattered around campus but they do give you 500 free pages of printing every semester which is nice.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T23:06:34Z
While Case costs an extremely ridiculous amount of money, I haven't talked to anyone who hasn't gotten at least 20K in scholarships, and even more on top of that with financial aid. They are extremely generous when giving out scholarships and make the price competitive and reasonable.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T23:05:05Z
The weather in Cleveland sucks. Period. It's pretty cold here during the winter and it can be super bipolar. The walk to class is long so you just have to make sure you dress appropriately and you'll be fine. The school offers "greenies" which are shuttle busses that can take you to and from the dorms/main quad, but they're fairly unreliable so expect to deal with the elements if you chose to come to school here.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T23:02:28Z
Greek life at case is so different from Greek life at other schools. It truly has an emphasis on philanthropy, which I feel can get lost at other schools. The people in Greek life aren't just the hot jocks or the pretty girls either; its comprised of average, genuine people, which is really nice because there are no social barriers between people in Greek life and non-Greek students.
College Freshman 2013-11-18T22:04:12Z
The freshman housing isn't awful, but it's insanely far away from class - probably a 20-25 minute walk which sucks on days when the weather's bad (which is pretty often in Cleveland). The dorms also don't have air conditioning and are pretty old, but many of the rooms give you a huge amount of storage space, which compensates for the fact that the rooms are kind of small. Overall they're not terrible, pretty typical of residence halls, but a little on the expensive side in my opinion for what we're actually getting.
College Student 2013-11-11T16:52:32Z
Case gives you a free rta pass when you arrive on campus so you can use any of the public transportation for free. It's only a 15 minute train ride to downtown Cleveland and the same train can take you straight to the airport
College Junior 2013-11-10T17:03:59Z
Very close to little italy and a lot of ethnic cuisines near the on campus housing.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
