Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Washington, DC is an incredible city, and the food is no exception. DC provides the treasures of fast food dining, as well as top-notch restaurants perfect for birthday outings, dates, and big group excursions. Of course, off-campus dining works best in moderation, since DC is a pricey city. But it is still comforting to know that if you all of the sudden get the urge for Indian food, you won’t have to travel too far to find it.

With that being said, the Brookland neighborhood, where the University is located, doesn't boast the same luxuries. But that’s OK because it more than makes up for it in well-priced, quick service, and delicious take-out and delivery restaurants. There is a time to tighten the purse strings and eat on campus. There is a time to indulge in tasty wings, pizza, and sweet and sour chicken right off campus. But there is also a time to go all out and treat yourself to four-star Italian cuisine.

Restaurants of DC

There are tons of off-campus dining options in Washington D.C. While there are a lot that are fancier and more expensive, you can also find a lot of cheaper but still delicious places to eat!

CUA Off-Campus Dining: It's All in DC

If you are looking get something to eat off-campus the food in the immediate community is not very expansive but it's okay. Most student looking to get something to eat off-campus go to other areas of DC using the metro. CUA has its own metro stop which makes traveling easier. Once you get into DC there is not limit to the amount of choices you have. Between Union Station, Chinatown, and DuPont Circle, the possibilities are endless and what makes it even better is that all those places are on the same metro line as CUA.

Expensive

Off-campus dining is rather expensive in Washington DC. As a result, I have an on-campus meal plan that I use everyday.
