It is a great thing that Cazenovia College allows there students to be able to have their own cars and park the cars on campus property. Finding spaces to park in can be difficult, but not impossible. The biggest problem is the cost of the parking permits which I believe are around $175 for an entire year. To some this may not be a big deal, but to some who find it hard to get by financially on a daily basis like myself it's difficult to pay off.

Cazenovia is a good sized town and have a lot of shops and gas stations that are within a walking distance. It also has its own lake which is also within walking distance from the school, and is a very beautiful to go walking and/or take photographs. There are always announcments of some sort of sports game going on to which the students, and the locals who are very welcoming, can go to support their school.

I gave the transpertation at Cazenovia College an "A" because my school has vans that they use just about every weekend to bring students who live in the city to either a train or bus station (if they have no other transpertation home). They also arrange to pick the same students up from the bus or train stations to bring them back to the school. If one college student, though, needs a ride to somewhere such as an airport; I know for a fact that there have been employees that have driven the students themselves.

The drug scene isn't bad, but you are who you hang with. I don't really see it with the people I hang out with. More drinking going on then drugs.

The athletic center is fairly new and it's very nice. They have all kinds of sports and activities, you will not be bored. Making the volleyball team as a freshman was great, I made new friends by being on the team. Got to travel to our cities. Campus activities where always happening. There was something to do all the time.

I choose Cazenovia because of my major, small class sizes, location and for volleyball. I'll be in my second year come August and looking forward to returning. Have made a lot of new friends. Teachers are very helpful. The weathers a ruff but when it warns up its beatiful.

The weather in the spring time is wonderful. The trees bloom and the lake is a relaxing place to do work, but in the winter it is another story. Cazenovia College seems to be in a snow belt and receives lake effects on top of it. Snow is on the ground from Halloween until St. Patirck’s Day, causing ice sheets and frozen weather for quiet sometime. It is an adorable little town when covered in snow but beware of the winds and frozen noses when not dressed appropriately. Bring your boots!!

Everything is within walking distance which is really nice if you don't have access to a car. There are a variety of different restaurants and a few fast options like subway and Caz Pizza both which are really good.

Academics as this school are excellent. This is the main reason I love this school. Professors are great! registration is pretty easy and getting into your classes isn't hard. For the most part I got all the classes that I wanted.

It is cold a lot of the time and you get a ton of snow in the winter. Majority of the very is cold since it is in upstate ny but when it is warming it is absolutely gorgeous. You can walk down to the lake or go sit outside on the quad when it is nice out.

Teachers are incredible helpful. If you ever have trouble they are there for you. Very nice and in the design field they are often using the latest programs which helps you in the long run. Workload is a lot but you always have plenty of time and the resources to get everything done in time. Design and Art building is new and very accessible. Open almost 24-7 and there are people who can help if you are having trouble. Academically I am loving my time at this school!

During the winter time, it can get extremly cold with an abundance of snow. And during the spring time, it is slighly chilly while it starts warming up towards summer.

There are a very wide variety of majors at Cazenovia. The art programs there are very popular, and for the most part the instructors are very fair and helpful.

Unless you have zero academic scholarships, off campus housing is not an option.

It's a school in central New York. It is what it is. It very cold and snowy in to winter, and we have rainy days quite often. However, on the few nice days we do get, Cazenovia is gorgeous.

Cazenovia is a really small school. Local transportation isn't really necessary. You can walk most places in town. They do offer Caz Vans, though, to take groups of students to larger grocery stores in the next town or sometimes on trips to the mall.

The freshmen dorms are for the most part pretty clean. There are troubles with the bathrooms because they were never kept clean and no one respected them. The toilets had to be replaced and that was inconvenient and it smelled extremely bad. The rooms themselves are pretty good.

The art majors like studio art, interior design and fashion design programs are phenomenal. The professors are great and they teach material that we will actually need to know in our fields. As for the other majors, communications doesn't really learn much or have homework. Criminal justice is mostly taking notes and getting tested on the material, and I am not familiar with any science or English majors.

So far, cazenovia college's scholarships have been great. Even before applying for financial aid, I was given a $20,000 scholarship simply for doing well in high school. Then, I applied for work study and other small scholarships here and there provided by the college. Overall, there are many opportunities for scholarships, students just need to take time to apply to their best effort.

Health & Safety:
Cazenovia college's campus safety has never been very friendly. Even if I simply need to pick up something that was brought in, they didn't have much of a sense of humor and I think it would be more helpful when dealing with then if they were more understanding and friendly. Plus, they are only around when breaking up parties so they aren't really on the scene as much as I'd like.

Cazenovia College is very small so if you find that you don't like your major you most likely have to transfer into a different school. Also the work load is not very challenging, and if you wanted to transfer most of the credits are difficult to transfer.
College Junior 2013-04-05T20:43:27Z
Some professors are very picky in what they deem to be good work. Even if you feel like you produced good work the professors may not see it the way you do. It is kind of like they want you to design how they want. If I could do it all over again I would pick a major that was more interesting to me and go to a different college. My goal is to be happy with whatever major I have.
