Some of the teachers can be difficult to keep up with. For those who are very hands-on it's hard to keep up. The faculty are also a bit hard to deal with. Many rarely explain or help you get directed to what you're trying to do. It all depends on who you're talking to.

Haven't been able to find the library and computer lab. There's a book store in the very easy to find for everyone.

Haven't had a chance to see the whole campus, but so far everything seems to be in easy accessible locations.

Cedar Valley is close to home and the campus is clean and resourceful.

The faculty at this school has made the enrollment process fairly simple and all of my credited hours will be transferable. I wasn't able to create my own class schedule, but my administrator made sure my classes weren't too random.

The facilities on campus aren't bad. There's a gym and a brand-new auditorium for theatre performances and other events. Even though it's not a campus students live on, it's definitely a comfortable campus to hang out at between classes, whether you're getting coffee at the student union or catching up on some reading at the library.

there are at least 5 labs on campus that all have reliable networks

I Do Not Spend a Lot of Time on Campus – Due to my schedule, i do not spend a lot of time on campus. I mostly associate with my high school classmates. The other students are friendly and they seem to get along. The initial challenge was finding the different buildings for classes. Since the initial change the the campus seems friendly and laid out well.

It Was Some Work – My adjusting to the different demands of college academics was tough at first, but the professors and faculty helped the adjustment smooth out.

The online course was different. It was not easy and demanded a lot of self-discipline.

While the grading was lenient and I have taken classes in the same district the teachers on the basic level are a problem. My speech professor treated us like kindergardeners and my biology proffessor was absolutely dreadful.

While the convienience of the school is impeccable I am not neccessary the most pleased with the schedule. While I have been in college for a while this is not the worst I have had in scheduling the classes are a bit annoying. For the first year of classes I will only have the option of night classes. Other than that I have no issue.

The campus has many resources available to its students. Cedar Valley has 2 computer labs and a library. Their are printers and fax/copy machines for ten cents a page with the option of printing in color for a bit more. Students are able to check out many various books at a time for research or just good reads. There are many places to sit down and do your work in open spaces as well as relatively private areas in the library. However, you may want to bring a set of headphones depending on what time of day it is and the location you choose. For the more leisurely side of you, there's a space to read magazines in the library and a game room in the OSL. There are also little chairs and sitting areas scattered around the campus if you need to reflect or catch up on some homework in private or with a group.

Cedar Valley really has a great selection of professors that really know their stuff. I personally enjoyed all of the professors I have had prior to the current semester. Though some of the grading processes in some English courses may be a bit off. All of the classes usually are very effective as far as in class learning goes. You normally won't need to spend too much time outside of class cramming or anything as long as you have the right professor. You are able to have online classes, two days a week classes (usual), one day a week classes, or a hybrid course. I strongly suggest having two days a week classes. The most difficult is the hybrid courses, just don't take them. You will spend endless hours outside of class doing online work and studying because you only meet once a week and you may not have the best professor teaching the course. Also pick your classes and register for them early because they fill up quick. You may also struggle with the overlapping of two classes that you want to take.

Most of my professors are understanding and they really like to help. But other professors don't care and don't want early college high school students there.

I give the campus resources at Cedar Valley College a B+ because have quite a few computer labs, resource center, library, math lab, and tutoring center. With all the resources at this campus, there should be no reason not to do well.

I'm taking up business administration and the classes are very relevant to my major... And on some jobs have been helpful in the work place.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
