Classes here at CMU are barely ever cancelled due to the weather outside. If the professors can get to campus you can walk across campus and go to class. Most of our students live online or within a walking distance from campus therefore weather rarely affects our campus.

Here at Central Methodist University we have a variety of different races and religions on campus. CMU is known for their athletic teams and each has a variety of diversity in each group. No one is looked at in a different way, we all work together and do what is best for our teams. Religion is also accepted on campus, you can go to Sunday Service if you please, as well as Chapel on Tuesday mornings. Classes are closed so you have the option of being able to go if you would like too. We have a lot of diversity here on the CMU campus.

I did recieve financial aid from CMU, it was an easy process. The person in charge of it at CMU was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She could easily answer any of my questions and let me know how to do things.

This school does do all night classses which is good because it focuses the professors are usually in the field of study. It helps because there are many students have to work, and have a family.

CMU does not have a lot of student life because it is all night classes and is based out of ECC campus.

Financial aid always comes on later than advertised. Sometimes advisers miscalculate courses needed for graduation, so you may end up attending longer than you first expected.

As I am in my forties and married, I'm not sure what my single classmates do for fun outside of class.

Online Is Awesome – I love the fact that as an "older" college student, I don't have to sit in a classroom with very young people and feel uncomfortable! Although we usually post pictures and introduce ourselves at the beginning of a class, I have yet to feel uncomfortable. In fact, I find that there are many my age returning to school, working full time, and online is the only option for them as well.

Very Happy With My Program – I am very happy with the business management program. I feel as though it is very well laid out for me. My concerns for finding a job are not necessarily related to CMU, rather to economic conditions. I certainly feel as though CMU will have me educationally prepared, however.

No Problems – I have had great experiences with all of my professors, as well as the office staff in registering and financial aid. At times I have been a little overwhelmed with some of the workload, but overall it has been managable.

I Love It – Although I struggled a bit to grasp the technology associated with the online classes at first, I find it easy now and love the fact that I can do my classes when it's convenient for me. I have had great experiences with the teaching staff, as well as those in financial aid and other areas. I find that you need to be very self motivated and study hard in order to do well in classes, but I don't think it's any different than physically being in a classroom. I know that I can contact my instructor's anytime I run in to a problem. I am very glad I chose CMU for my degree.

Tough Love Goes a Long Way – A lot of school have the I do not care its your life so do as you will kind of attitude, but not Central Methodist. The teachers do care it is just the matter of whether or not the students actually want to listen to them and do what is needed to succeed.

Small Teams With Top Notch Athletes – Central Methodist granted yes is a small school so there are small teams to expect out of it. But it is not the size of the teams that matter. It is the size and strength of those athletes hearts, minds and courage. When it comes to recruiting for the school Central Methodist picks the athletes with the biggest hearts, minds and courage.

Small Campus, Plenty to Do – Though it is a small campus and not many people there are always events going on. You have anywhere from sporting events to magic shows. There are even the town carnivals and events that go on. Every weekend there are events happening to keep the college life a little more interesting and keeping the students from dieing of boredom.

Guys & Girls:
Social Life – The social life is really neat at Central Methodist University, most everyone parites together but sticks to their sports during the day. it's neat to see all the students come together in their evening events and see them bond with their team mates, brothers or sisters during lunch, dinner or even in the dorms. Everyone you see throughout the day smiles and says hello if you know them, for the most part people are super nice here.

Professors Are Their for You. Depending on what major you choose depends which classes you take. The professors are very into their majors which helps me out personally. They know their subjects front and back so they are open to your endless questions you may have. You can go up to any professor and find and answer, or get led into the right direction for your answer. It's very neat to have professors that truly care for their students.

As being a student with a learning disability Central Methodist University was the place for me. They have a learning and teaching center that is always offering tutoring sessions, teacher helps, test rooms anything you need within reason is provided by this center. I believe this center is what has helped me get through my schooling her at Central and it's the best of the best. There is always a listening ear to a tutor willing to help you. It is the place you come for any type of support needed.

When meeting someone at Central Methodist University one of the first questions asked is what sport are you involved in. Most everyone attending CMU is a participant in a sport. It's neat to get in all the home games free as a student at Central and see how many people come out to support their fellow students. It's awesome to see how many wear their team sport wear and talk, eat, breathe their sport. Central is a very involved sport school.

The architecture at Central Methodist is really neat. I love the amount of time put into the buildings and how old they are. My grandparents also attended CMU and it's nice to be able to walk through campus and them know what building I am talking about. The buildings are very beautiful and I love the time put into them. The newest building on campus is the Student Center and I love how modern it is, it's has a good clean feeling to them, like the other buildings.

Technology Center. There is a computer lab. You may print what you need but they do ask that you print front and back when ever possible. You can access the internet from your own laptop and the network is rarely down. They even have access to the computer lab for the public. There are computers located in the library as well. These contain the card catalog of the library along with being able to use them for research. The only problem you may have is finding help if you are having problems with the computer or printer. There is not always a computer lab attendant present. There is however someone always in one of the tech assistance offices.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
