Ellensburg is windy and sometimes you have to fight the wind while walking uphill to get to class. However, the weather can be very nice some days, in the fall it has been cold in the morning but warmed up by the afternoon.

The weather here is really extreme. It's super cold with lots of snow in the winter, super rainy during the fall, and very windy during spring. The heat is unbearable in some building but most are fine. Not a lot of coverage in case of rain or snow so it can be pretty treacherous.

Ellensburg is one of the few towns in Washington that actually experiences a shift in seasons. In the summer, the weather is dry, warm, and very sunny. In the winter, however, Ellensburg tends to get a lot of snow which makes for awesome snowball fights and snowmen-building contests. Ellensburg also experiences a lot of wind, so those of you who like to spend a lot of time on your hairdo may want to consider another location.

Expect odd weather when coming to Central Washington University, including snow in May and LOTS of wind. However, the summer and fall feature lovely weather, so don't be too pessimistic. Do be prepared for the cold, though; the climate here is high desert.

Central gets to expirence all four seasons. When it snows, it really comes down. Everything is so close together though, it doesn't really matter just be sure to bundle up! The wind is the worst part about Ellensburg, once the snow melts it is harsh cold winds until schools out!
