The facilities are ok. The library doesn't have much help for some of the majors, so it is neccessary to go to the local library. The student center doesn't have much to access..but the buildings are in pretty good shape

I feel very disconnected from most of the student body. I do not party or drink and I am not of the same faith as most of the students that profess their faith. There are very little opportunities for students who do not find enjoyment in partying, drinking, promiscuity or the LDS church.

The internet stalls at least once a week and I have to go off campus to a coffee shop or library to finish my assignments. Internet may be down for 1-8 hours

Most of the students I know that are attending Central Wyoming College are diligent students with part time jobs and are trying to balance between classes, extra curriculars, and home and job lives. There are many foreign exchange students at Central Wyoming College, so it is very equal opportunity. It is easy to make friends and the professors are good about getting a hold of them when you need to.

its just not my type of environment, its super small, and just not what i expected. As far as classes- teachers work with student fairly well, but are always crunched for time it seems.

After people graduate from here they often have employers that want to accept them after graduation because a lot of people participate in internships while they do thier field of study here at Central Wyoming College.

The student body diversity is huge here! It's excellent because students and staff do not seem to judge eachother or people of different backgrounds. Our school is great because we have overseas students that don't speak english, so they have a course to offer and teach them how to learn English! The level of acceptance here at Central Wyoming College is amazing. We all share our differences and we learn about other ethnic groups. No matter what sex your partner is, people don't pay too much attention to that part. Students here just want to socialize and enjoy college! For the most part it's very easy to focus and learn here because the teachers and students are ALWAYS willing to help. Tutoring is FREE for any subject!!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I was suppossed to get a full ride tuition scholarship for basketball, but they kept telling me i owed money. it fianlly got sorted out,but it was kind of a hassle. Then books were ridiculus.

They have lots of good tools on their webpages like tutoring and what not. However some of the teachers I feel are hard to learn by and dont teach the material understandably. Its a small school, mainly focused around rodeo and some athletics.

I'm taking all online courses right now, but they are very convenient and the professors are very nice.

Thank You – the teachers i have had the pleasure of working with have been very patient and informative. I appreciate the class sizes because it gives us a chance to get one-on-one learning experience.

due to the lack of job in the economy at this time, and the population in wyoming there are not many exciting positions available for a graduate.

Manage Your Time – I was a little nervous when I started taking online classes but it was pretty easy once I got used to it. It was also nice not having to go on campus especially during the winter and you can just stay at home and work on your class on your own time. It is really important to manage your time and I learned that one the hard way with a couple of online classes. Don't forget about your online classes with your on-campus classes because it is really easy to do. I could hand in my work when I needed to before each deadline and I didn't have to deal with any professors standing there telling me I need to hand in my work.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education that I am getting is worth paying for. I am getting a little bit of financial aid from CWC and it is helping me from getting any loans that I have to worry about paying while taking classes. I learned the hard way that getting your financial information in on time is important so everything goes through on time without any complications. The only thing that I wish that CWC did was make their scholarships more known to the students who need some extra money to get through school without taking on any loans.

Classes Are Fascinating – I am a Psychology major and every class I have taken so far towards that degree has been fascinating and fun. Being a psychology major can be a little overwhelming trying to remember terms and what everything means and when it can be used but every new thing that I learn, like when I took Sociology, it kept me interested the entire time. I love that each class that I have to take for my psychology major I would normally take anyway and I love taking each one so it really isn't as hard for me at all. There haven't been any weird crazy electives that I have had to take other than just general electives that go with my major.

Most Work as a Full Time Student With a Job – My school mostly has full time students who also work either full time or part time jobs just to put them through college. They are constantly socializing and always meeting new people to interact with and making new friends all the time either during classes or in clubs that the college students have created. The reason I graded this as a B was because even though quite a few students can handle this amount of work, there are some who can't or realize that they can't. They are trying to get a higher education while still trying to find out who they are and what they want to do for the rest of their lives.

I'm Surrounded by Idiots – We have a few different campuses at CWC. The students that are broadcast live from one campus, to our campus have hardly anything intelligent to say. It's quite frustrating. I feel many of them waste my classroom time and tuition.

Happy Teachers, Happy Classroom – I feel like many of the teachers that are at this school are happy educators. Thoroughly enjoying every discussion, debate and day to the fullest, really describes every professor I have had the pleasure of having.

Many Computers – For the size of enrollment, the amount of computers is perfect. There is no limit on the amount we can print from the printers. As far as wireless, I have no idea if we have it because I've never had a need for it. All of my computer needs are constantly and consistently met.

Small, but Efficient Campus – We have only one, official, classroom. Sometimes it has a live teacher and sometimes it has a teacher being broadcast live from our sister campus. I really appreciate the effort that Central Wyoming College puts into making sure people are getting an education. Most ski-vacation towns, in my opinion, are lacking in community enrichment, while Central Wyoming College embraces it and the building they are in, The Center for the Arts, embodies personal improvement. It's very motivating.

Small Community – There are two people that are in our office that are readily available. Both are fabulous! I can get everything I need from them, and none of the fluff. There's no waiting in line, making appointments or intimidating titles. Our computer lab is small, but just the right size. We have free access to the community's recreation center and the best coffee shop in town is within walking distance. It's perfect for our tiny little town of Jackson Hole and after being a student many many many times, I appreciate the little things and some of the over-kill things to be non-existant.

I have not taken many online courses but what I have taken so far are nice and interactive. However, I do believe that if a person were to take an online course, they should know that they need not to procrastinate and work harder.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
