Hard drugs at Centre are virtually unheard of, and for good reason. If the College catches students with drugs (even pot), or paraphernalia, they are automatically expelled, period. There is an absolute zero-tolerance drug policy. Even if the Danville police or your hometown police arrest you for drugs, and Centre just hears about it, that's it, you're out. That said, there are still students who risk it, and there are even kids who smoke pot in their dorm rooms. Most students who do partake in drugs tend to be quiet about their actions, and most students just don't do illegal drugs. The most prevalent drug on campus is alcohol, and it is often drank by underagers.

The administration takes a looser approach to drunkenness, and the worst that can happen is your compulsory attendance to an alcohol awareness class and a fine. DPS tends to look the other way, except for individuals who are routinely breaking the rules or for individuals who are very intoxicated. Caffeine is abused around finals and midterms, along with Ritalin/Adderall. Ritalin/Adderall is one of the most abused drugs on college campuses, but actually finding anyone at Centre that has the drugs, without a prescription, is rare. Coke is long rumored to be at Centre, but in actuality, it's just gossip created to provide a jet-set backdrop. Centre students as a whole tend to look down on illegal drug use, and parties tend to be centered around booze, not drugs.
