Advice on Finding a Job/Internship Finding a job post graduation is one of the biggest fears graduates have, but Career Services offers a plentitude of advice and service before and after graduation. Centre’s network, nicknamed by students as the Centre Mafia, is arguably one of best in the nation and seems to have ties to just about every career field and area in the country. Centre alumni love to hire new grads or hand out internships. Career Services can only do so much, so having strong credientals and a general idea of what you’d like to do can immensely speed up your job search and placement. Centre has a great environment for leadership positions and volunteer work, so join something. Centre hosts job fairs and can recommend the big ones to attend, but most students find jobs by determining their desired fields and then calling on alumni for internships or jobs. Also, many graduates call Centre when they have openings in the companies, so stay in touch with Career Services, even after you graduate.
