No Internships Yet – I have yet to have an internship. One of my professors did leave a letter in my mailbox about an internship at a lab in Mississippi, but I decided not to look into it because I wanted to spend this summer with my family. However, I plan on getting an internship at a lab next summer. I'm not concerned because many professors at Centre offer internships for over the summer. Even if I can't get an internship at Centre, many of my classmates have spoken of how helpful Career Services is at Centre.

No Regrets – I'm most definitely happy with my choices. Centre College is a great program with engaging professors and intelligent students. The classes I take and the internships I hope to get will help me get into a good medical school.

Helpful Instructors – All of the professors at Centre College are extremely helpful. Often times, I would visit a professor without an appointment and they would spend 30 minutes talking to me. In biology and the other sciences, the professors are experienced in both the classroom and the lab. The small class sizes allow you to get to know these professors and most of them are enjoyable people both in and out of the classroom.

Student Oriented Program – While many colleges require you to declare a major soon after starting your first year, Centre College allows you to wait until the end of your sophomore year before declaring a major. I find this preferable, as it gives students time to figure out what they want to do and experiment with different classes. Being a small liberal arts college, most of the professors are eager to discuss your interests and help you figure out the right major for you.
