The incredible feeling most students get the first time they walk through Champlain College's campus never leaves. The campus is absolutely beautiful—you always get to see familiar faces as well as meet new people, have unique leadership opportunities, and take classes that are interesting to you from the day you start. The small class sizes (25 students or less) help students form strong relationships with each other and their professors. Class discussions and hands-on projects are more common than tests. Everyone at Champlain is here to help you succeed, find your interests, practice your skills, and get a job relevant to your major after graduation. The Upside-Down Curriculum is not a scam—it's real. You can come to Champlain as a general business major and switch to marketing your sophomore year, after learning exactly what you want to do because your classes are already teaching you that.
Students at Champlain are valued in the greater-Burlington community because they have the skills employers are looking for. Students are unique because they're career-oriented, while still having a great core program that combines all of their general studies (history, literature, psychology, philosophy, art, science) for greater focus on their major. The LEAD (Life Experience & Action Dimension) program also prepares students for life after college.
