The best dorms for incoming freshman students are Pralle and Henley Halls. You can Pick your own roomate.

Dorms are by lottery and there is several room types. You do not get to pick who you live with but they do place you with students with same interest and similar habits.

can you request a dorm?

not dorm, i mean can you request the hall you want to live in?

Dorm life is an adventure every freshman should experience. The dorms are the ultimate social environment that creates long-lasting friendships, and the halls are coed, so girls and guys interact all the time. Students bond with their hallmates, party in the study rooms, and can visit each other whenever they want. Freshmen usually live in a double room, and with only two roommates, the rooms are spacious enough for a couch, TV, and lamps, in addition to the furniture that comes with the room. Some students will be forced to triple, which can get a little crowded, but it’s certainly livable.

Students are spoiled when it comes to the dorms, and the best part about residence life at Chapman is that almost all students have their own private bathroom. In North Morlan, students have a suite-style bathroom, but there are never more than four people sharing it. Once a semester, Chapman provides a cleaning service for the bathrooms, as well as occasional room inspections to ensure that the rooms aren't too dirty, but, for the most part, students are responsible for the cleanliness of their dorm rooms. All the residence halls are located in the same central area, so students who live in different halls often visit one another, and the main campus and the cafeteria are less than a five-minute walk. The dorms are an essential element to a successful freshman year at Chapman because they allow students to connect with the campus and become involved.
