Chapman is very safe and students feel comfortable walking to their dorms at night. The small campus is always well lit and populated in the evenings, so students are never alone. Public Safety doesn't have a noticeable presence on campus, but it will provide any service as soon as a student calls. For example, if you feel unsafe walking back to the residence centers at night, you can reach Public Safety 24/7 and request a ride. Students are also very respectful. Wallets, bicycles, and purses are almost always returned to the lost and found, and students trust one another enough to leave their laptops unattended at the library if they need to leave for a bit.

The Chapman University Student Health Center adds to the sense of safety at Chapman by offering a wide range of services, including immunizations and pregnancy and STD screenings. The health center, conveniently located across the street from campus, is available to all undergraduate students. Overall, safety and security at Chapman is excellent. The University makes a tremendous effort so students feel at ease anytime on campus, from the crack of dawn to midnight.

Chapman: a Safe Haven

I have always felt comfortable on the Chapman campus. Obviously, there are the usual college antics, so make sure to watch your surroundings and keep your doors locked. But nothing unusual or extremely unsafe here.

Basically nothing ever happens and there are public safety officers always on guard.

Totally Safe

I have never felt unsafe on Chapman's campus. Public Safty is always around and they are also allowed to give you a ride to your car at night if you dont feel safe walking to the parking lot.
