Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Interviews with admissions counselors are typically held after a tour during a campus visit or overnight visit. To schedule a stand-alone interview, call the admissions office at (412) 365-1825 and ask to speak with your admissions counselor. For out-of-state students, interviews can often be conducted by phone. Interviews are not necessary, and Chatham University has a lenient admissions policy, so do not worry if you are unable to have an interview!

Campus Tours

Campus tours are available Monday through Friday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. To schedule a tour, call Admissions at (412) 365-1825 or email them at admission@chatham.edu.

Overnight Visits

Overnight visits are coordinated on an individual basis and can be scheduled through the Admissions office. On overnight visits, students have the opportunity to attend classes, eat meals in the dining hall, and stay overnight in one of the residence halls with an admissions ambassador host.

Did You Know?
  • Chatham holds two scholarship events throughout the year, called World Ready Women Scholarship days. Prospective students can come to campus, write an essay, and complete an interview to win a scholarship applicable for all four years of study at Chatham.
  • For the World Ready Women Scholarship event, an overnight visit is coordinated in conjunction with a chartered bus trip that stops in various cities to pick up students. In previous years, the chartered bus has stopped in New York City, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia to pick up students who pay $40 each to board the bus. These students stay overnight at the Admissions facilities or in a hotel, attend the scholarship event, and take the bus home. For more information, contact the Admissions office.
  • At the World Ready Women Scholarship event, students have the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 in scholarships. Every young woman that attends the event WILL receive a scholarship!
  • In order to keep your scholarship from Chatham University, you must maintain a 2.0 GPA. The GPA requirement used to be 2.5, but Chatham lowered its standards in order to keep enrollment levels high. If a student earns lower than a 2.0 GPA, the financial aid office will send her a written warning to raise her GPA or the office will slightly reduce the scholarship amount. Chatham University will never completely remove the scholarship from the student's financial aid award package, though.
  • Chatham students can call, email, instant message, or Facebook message the Chatham ambassadors, which is a team of undergraduate students who work in Admissions to help prospective students learn more about Chatham. Their information is available on Chatham's website.
