Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition for the classes has gone up since I started at Chemeketa, but when I first started the price was fairly reasonable. However, the tuition has been raised a little every term since I first enrolled. The price is still not horrendous, but it is not as reasonable as it could be.
The school is extremely helpful on how to drop a class if you end up not being able to take a class that you enrolled in; they have made it to where a student can drop a class online rather than having to go in to the school and fill out the paperwork.

Many of the teachers are very helpful and they go out of their way to make sure that they ensure that every student understands what is being taught. The only problem that I have is that there is a lack of close knit grouping as a whole. There is a distinct separation in the closeness of the students.

The instructors are great and the class variety is staggering. At the same time I have found not only good electives but good opportunities for volunteer work during my time at the school.

While going for an Associates of Arts Transfer degree I found most classes I take to be enjoyable experiences. While I do have issue with having to take courses completely unrelated to my future major at least it doesn't heap on extremely difficult courses in those categories. The instructors are also high grade and I'm usually not bored or inattentive in class.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The Chemeketa Scholars program has proven to be a great help to me with having my tuition paid for while attending classes. At the same time I found issues with apply with the foundation scholarship and haven't found any grants in my time with signing up for financial aid.

All courses I have taken were on campus. As such I have no knowledge of the online class structure.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I don't feel that I'm paying a reasonable amount of money for a community college education, but it is at least cheaper than university. I wish there were more opportunities for financial aid but of course it's difficult and not any worse than other schools.

The professors tend to be very helpful and personable. They make sure all their students are getting the most out of class and some are absolutely excellent. The class registration process is hugely frustrating, but I have not taken a bad class yet. There's a good language tutoring program.

There are lots of successes post grad from CCC, especially in the medical area, because it is run through the Oregon State board.

Because I primarily take my classes online, I find the flexibility at Chemeketa to be wonderful. I have only had a problem with one instructor that was "checked out" through the entire term. Otherwise, I've had nothing but great experiences.

I have only had one instructor that had problems with the network. They frequently perform updates and thankfully not during busy afternoon hours.

I've taken several online courses and find it very convenient because of my work schedule. I like not having to be in class and having the ability to do my class work and still be at home with my family. Some classes are set up better than others using the online system but that is to be expected as it is done by each instructor. Most are great at responding to questions within a day and I've had a few that respond within an hour or two.

I feel that the professors are very understanding when life gets in the way of turning things in but not so much that it wont keep us accountable and responsible

I feel that my academic experience has been great at chemeketa with a wide range of teaching styles and class styles. It has been difficult adjusting to the level of difficulty compared to high school but It has been great getting help from teachers and tutoring centers
College Junior 2013-08-07T18:33:15Z
I wish that there was more one on one time with students or more time to have a better relationship, that way it is easier to approach them for help. But I feel that the teachers do a good job of putting out a general invitation for help.

The facilities on campus is great they have a tutoring center if you need help on anything like writing or math, they have a lot of helpful resources you can use.

The parking is great and the public safety staff helps you if you forget your keys inside the car or if you get a flat tire and even if you need a jump start. they basically help you on anything you need.

The Wifi is great, the network is fast. the teachers never have a problem with the network.

Most classes are well organized and taught. Most instructors are supportive. There are good support services including a well run tutoring center and writing center. Unfortunately, the administrative side of the college such as admissions and registration is not as well run as the academic side.

There is diversity at my school. The class sizes are small so it make learning more fun and easier to absorb. There are also many clubs for varying interests which are fun to participate in.

There are a wide variety of courses to choose from which for the most part are well taught. Most of the instructors are very competent and love what the teach.
