I haven't received much in the way of career services at this time.

Many programs have some of the same classes so it is easy to have double majors. I have enjoyed the classes and opportunities the school offers.
College Senior 2013-12-01T02:21:52Z
I appreciate that the instructors have to have real life experience and not just teaching experience.

I would like to have more quiet space available for studying. There are many places to use computers, but at times they are being used for things other than school related tasks. The wireless this semester hasn't been working right, which makes it useless to bring my own to school.

They have been replacing technology and updating many things.

There are many clubs available and the student government has many opportunities for students to participate in.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I'm upset with how financial aid is handling my case. I am in a second degree and financial aid says that I will be over my 150% credits if I have to take everything that is required, but I have been ok'd to recover past credits that cover some of the ones I need. This actually puts me under by 20 credits yet they have denied me aid. This situation is making it almost impossible to continue my education and next semester I may not be able to.

I didn't like an online course as well as having in class time. I like having the interaction of students face to face. The course itself is interesting and I am learning.

I enjoy the environment and how classes are taught. It is more hands on and instructors are more involved with your needs.

When scheduling I find it can be frustrating. The system doesn't list all the classes and I find it a pain to look up course numbers and then find what is available. I think it should be listed when you do a search and not have to go looking all over for what you need. There has been so many times that I have had to schedule appointments with counselors to just get classes that I need. It shouldn't be as hard to sign up for a class. I had to take a class through UWEC for my degree at CVTC and found that their system for signing up is easier. Their (UWEC) computerized system isn't better, but when signing up for classes it was less complicated.

From what I have heard they are very helpful!
College Senior 2013-10-27T01:27:39Z
I think the online classes I have taken through CVTC have been a good experience, the teachers are very helpful and punctual at getting back to the students in a timely manner!

I'm in the nursing program. It is very tough but the students stick together to help each other study and pass each class. So much support is a really big help!
College Senior 2013-09-16T12:52:35Z
The classes are pretty flexible. Most professors count attendance toward your grade but I have had to miss long periods of school due to hospitalizations and almost all of the teachers worked with me. One of the teachers even mailed my classwork to my house so that I would feel prepared coming back.
College Senior 2013-09-16T12:50:37Z
Some of the classes are extremely tough and some are very easy-going. When you get a very tough and difficult class, you have to wonder why the curriculum is so loaded that they have to pack so much information into so little time.

They have a good career center h that is willing to give resources for employment
College Senior 2013-07-31T04:14:38Z
They do what they can within their means, always room for improvement

Have not taken online classes, none available for my program
College Senior 2013-07-31T04:08:29Z
Paper costs money to use computer and Wi-Fi is limited in speed also computer checkout is limited however tuition for this program isn't too bad
College Junior 2013-05-22T00:55:04Z
It's hard because there's not as many online courses for my specific program and clinical hours cut into my job time

The school has a variety of ethnic groups and students of different ages. Some students are fresh out of high school, while others have 3 kids and a full time job already. Many people who attend are from the area already so the diversity isn't huge in this aspect.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The college itself makes it very easy to apply for financial aid and provides help for those who need to fill it out and have questions. The price for attending is very reasonable, expect for the price of books at campus. (Most campuses are similar though) A tip for getting financial aid here: apply early and always ask for help if you run into questions.
College Senior 2013-04-24T17:08:22Z
Overall classes are very accommodating to the students schedule. This school understands that there is life outside of classes and provides many online and hybrid class options. Once in the core program courses however, there isn't much flexibility for when you are able to take classes.
