I became very interested in this school after learning that one, they were an accredited school and they offered the program in which I wanted to go to school for which was private investigation. The enrollment process was very easy and the staff at city college were very helpful in helping me reach my academic goals. I would definitely consider going back here for my bachelors degree. Also the class times and scheduling are flexible and realistic.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
TERRIBLE SCHOOL! Started their RN program and WOW what a complete and epic failure on their end. They lacked professors for certain classes, unable to find replacements they got any professor to teach it. I went without a teacher in a class for 1 month and got an A in it when we didn't even do anything...That might be appealing to slackers, but this is a NURSING program, we need to be well educated, prepared students! Also I filled out all the paper work for financial aid and they never submitted it or applied for it while I was there. So a few months later when trying to transfer to a real college they sent me a bill for $5,000.00! For what? there was no teachers and I didn't learn a thing nor can I afford that hence why I applied for financial aid in the 1st place. Waste of time, money and now I have this bill that is outstanding and NO one from the school will return my calls to resolve it. You would think they would want their money and work out options with me...its unbelievable!! I have to do through the department of education to resolve this matter, which doesn't surprise me. But I sincerely hope that when they launch their investigation on this crappy school that they get shut down. There should be more regulation with private institutions because they are ripping students off (while we line their pockets, non-profit my butt) and this is the perfect example on how they get away with it, they ignore you and you give up. Well I'm not giving up without a fight. Please learn from my mistake and find a better school PBSC has a great program go somewhere that is regulated. Rip off report all the way.

I wish they had a larger computer lab, and more computers in the library. But everything else in the school is great when it comes to using their electronic.

I chose to start at City College because of there flexibility and how they willing to accommodate student needs. Also, making our class experience fun, interesting, and eager to learn more.

I am majoring in RN program and the staff / faculty always want to help, they have so many support group or system, making sure we understand and pass our classes. They also have helpful tools to prep us for the NCLEX-RN state exam that starts from day 1 until time of graduation.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Not Totally Informed – when I first applied I informed them I did not have any extra money, so if I had to come out of pocket at any time, I may not be able to consider them. I was informed then that they way my loan was set up, I would not have to come out of pocket. Now that I have just reapplied my FASA and got what I am eligible for (along with cost per credits which just went up) I am being told I now have to start paying monthly or in one lump sum. This I find quite misleading. Maybe it was the credit hour increase that did this to me, but I feel that if you are told one thing in the beginning and sign off on that, it should stay that amount.

Library and Student Center – I have gotten the help when I needed when in the library. The librarian is very helpful. The student center/activities are accessable and we have an ambassador program in which I can reach out to for help/assistance with classes or tutoring. I personally have not needed to use them as of yet but still quite early in program, getting ready to start the hard stuff soon. I know a few classmates have used the tutors and said they were very helpful. The overall willingness of other students to want to help us succeed in the classes is empowering.

There are days where there are classes in a computer lab, limitting the amount of computers available or there are students on computers not doing actual "school" related work. I do not have a computer at home; therefore, use at school is critical to me. For the most part, I usually have access to computers but there are the days where they are limited

Career Developement – I have not graduated as of this time but I have seen students return for help with job placement and leave very happy with the outcome.

Happy Learning – City College is a pretty good school. Everyone at CC has a positive attitude on every situation.I enjoy CC cause this school cares for each student and takes the time to explain and encourage the student regarding their education. At City College, no goal is too high to achieve and succeed.

Major at My School – what is it like to be a specific major at my school nothing. It doesn't feels like how I wanted it to feel. It's inexplainanble. I mean they have an internship for students who are in the process of graduating but it's all about favortism. The workload is a lot for those students who are parents or have other related problems. My program is Medical Assistant but I regret choosen that program it's not a good field for me and I know that it's not for me at all. They don't really have jobs like you think they would have upon finishing school. It's tacky

My School: City College – My school is a non-profit school I don't really like tha at all. They're not supportive at all and to thm it's all about the students money. The staff don't really care for the students like they should. To me I would give them a letter "D" grade. They are so un-organized. Although, it is a clean school like always but the admistrators, advisors, suppervisors, librarians, financial advisiors, and managers of the school are not really that helpful at all. They do have good programs but there are not for me. Overall, the school is mostly for adults who wantts to return back to school but they don't really fit well for young college students who wants to explore, have fun and learn more.

The resources at City College is part of the great experience. The library is almost always open with computers and staff waiting to help with anything you might need. You could print if needed or make copies needed for class. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and there for any assistance needed. There is also wifi available , so you have the option of bringing your laptop.

The student body is really diverse. Everyone is welcome and you can not feel the difference in race or sexcual orientation. Every feels free to practice thier beliefs, political idealogies and even religion without getting on anyones way or been singled out. The student body is one of the most unque and diverse i have seen so far in any college.

Academic Flexibility – it was very easy in city college to transfer credits from other colleges. I was told by the college advicer that one can not transfer city college credits to other schools.....this is really frustrating. The curriculum is flexible and allows one ample time to work or do other things on the side.

I have not really taken online classes in this college but when compared with traditional school, they seem not to have many classes online. So far, the classes on line is the general classes and it cost more money than classroom courses. The registration process is easy and the professor/student relationship is okay. There is also good peer-to-peer relationship.
Recent Alumnus 2011-09-30T02:50:17Z
Academic Experience – The overall class registration process is the fastest i have seen in any school. the curriculum is well planned to enable students finish thier area of study on time. The workload is fairly okay. students are encouraged to choose classes according to thier needs and the school will work arround your schedule. Most professors care about the students and teach very well but some times one wonders how the other professors were recruited because thier communication and understanding of the topic taught seems really poor.

Why I Would or Would Not Choose My School Again – I would choose my school again because it is a small community where evreryone cares and looks out for eachother.the staff members and most students are friendly. I would not choose it again because tuition is too high and the school do not have the best teachers in most subjects.

B- so pretty good to me some people have made this experience less than enjoyable specially a person in the nursing department ( who thank goodness has since left ). But now it has been smoother territory since the rough start ( knock on wood ) hopefully it keeps that way.
