I have been in Harold Washington to colse to two years already, the school is fantastic if you're trying to save money for good basic education for any field. I am in Digital Multimedia Design course, and I have been learning a lot from being in college rather the scrolling for videos for teaching me the basics of deisgn. This feels more rewarding to be in class and learn from a professor who has been working in this profession for years. The campus life isn't bad, and it isn't like super fancy just the foundation of college. The building can be dull sometimes, but it can be solved with events that happen at our campus. Transportation is good if you're taking the public transportation, and even driving towards it isn't bad, the only downside is looking for parking if the parkinglot is full. I would recommend this college if the person is only seeking a certificate, associates or to transfer over to university.
I love Harold Washington College! Being involved has definitely helped with my confidence and I just love helping others out. Professors, advisors, students everyone here has been amazing.
The physical campus is limited in space and there aren't many afterschool activities or clubs to get involved in outside of class. Like most schools, there are some great professors and some terrible professors. On average most professors are just okay. There are great faculty staff that will try their best to cater to your needs you just have to reach out to them. Most of the coursework is almost too easy, so it's probably not the best option if you're looking to challenge yourself.
