Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The good thing about Clafin is that it’s a small, walkable campus where students can arrive to class on time, providing they leave their dorm with ample time to allow for walking. All of the buildings on campus are located close to each other, so the need for a car is not a very big priority. However, you will find that many upperclassmen and off-campus students own the majority of cars on campus.

On the other hand, since the campus is small, there is not space for many large parking lots, so it is not guaranteed that you will always find a spot close to where you want to go. During the day when classes are in session, most of the parking spaces are reserved for faculty and staff, and it is very unlikely to find a free spot unless you park your car there overnight. Parking on campus requires that you have a parking decal, which is costly, but it does not guarantee you a space or an allotted spot. Most students complain about the lack of spaces on campus, yet they still manage to find a parking spot either on or off campus.

Shameful

Parking on campus is a nightmare for the students. The faculty are fine. Every day, a student is fined for "illegal parking".

Need for a Car on Campus

There is really no need for a car on campus, primarily because of its size. Our campus is an enclosed, walking campus and there is very little need to drive from class to class unless you just do not enjoy walking.

Parking

Having a car is a good thing but not something you have to have because my school have resturants and a dollar general in walking distances of the school but if you would like to go to off campus events you would need a car.
