Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Claflin University sets itself apart by being a small, family-oriented campus—and you will notice this from the moment you first arrive here. Everyone, from the administrators to the maintenance staff, is always warm, welcoming, friendly, and ready to assist the students. It is very hard to make enemies at this school because everyone respects everyone else and where they came from. The students and faculty come from different backgrounds, yet that does not lead to segregation.

The people here possess genuine Southern hospitality, a trait that never gets old around campus, and everyone takes pride in the rich history they have become a part of at Claflin. Everyone is always focused on their academic success and achieving the desired “Claflin Confidence.” The school constantly makes a personal effort to help students achieve all their goals by helping in whatever way they can. When you graduate from Claflin, you will not only leave with your diploma, but you will also leave with a wealth of great friendships and family bonds that you have made with others at the University. It truly is a rewarding experience.

Great School

I absolutely love this place—it's very friendly, and they put an emphasis on academics, which most schools sometimes forget about.

Overall Experience

As a freshman, I have enjoyed my first year at Claflin immensely. I exceeded my goals academically, socially, and artistically. I've made sure the right people know me as a poet. I'm making better grades that I made in high school. My group of friends is diverse and enjoyable to have around.

My Experience

The experience here at Clalfin has been a roller coaster. Claflin is a small university that does not offer many exciting things that students would enjoy. It was an alright experience so far.
