Rough Process

For those with excessive financial aid, you will have no trouble and process will take about 10 minutes. Those with limited financial aid from the state, prepare to go from building to buildings for a duration of time. I suggest going early for registration because students love to wait until the last minute. Just apply for scholarships like I am, usually the scholarships are required of a 3.0 GPA or higher.

I wasnt able to recieve that much help because my mother messed up my fasfa. They dont do much to help on the other hand I feel they could and should do more.

The people in financial aid were very helpful even though the process was long. The only tips I have is to apply early and make sure you have good grades.

Advice on Financial Aid

Nine out of ten Claflin students receive some form of financial aid. In addition to need-based aid, scholarships and grants are given to students based on academic achievement, leadership, and character. To receive need-based financial aid, students must complete Claflin's financial aid application in addition to the Free Application for Federal Students Aid (FAFSA) at the beginning of each semester. The process of obtaining financial aid is lengthy and timely for most students, but the University tries very hard to see that cost does not stand in the way of students and their education.
