Clubs and Organizations on Campus
There are more than 30 clubs and organizations on campus, but very few are actually known by students, and most are completely unheard of. Some of the active clubs include: Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society, American Chemical Society Club, Earth Science Club, Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, and the National Pre-Alumni Council of the United Negro College Fund. Getting into a club is easy—a membership fee is required at the beginning of the semester, and students need to attend the few meetings that are held. If students want to start a new club, they must complete a club registration form and submit it to the Student Center Office. However, most students are either too busy or not interested in starting new clubs on campus, much less getting involved in existing organizations.
