College Prowler Take
The experience that Clark Atlanta University provides its students is one that is incomparable to any other institution of higher learning. Atlanta is arguably the greatest city for successful African Americans (past and present), and that in itself makes Clark Atlanta University one of the best Historically Black Universities to attend in the U.S. Clark Atlanta has also succeeded in producing some of the top leaders in almost every aspect of the business and social world. The professors are great at teaching in their fields of knowledge, but they’re even better at giving life lessons that promote self-esteem, pride, and a sense of belonging. The social bonding that occurs during the matriculation at Clark Atlanta is like no other, and many students find their lifetime friends and significant others while attending Clark. With all the positive things that can be said about Clark, there is definitely room for growth within this great institution. Patience and organization are two skills that students and parents must hone before they even consider making Clark Atlanta University an option. Clark Atlanta University’s financial aid, registration, student accounts, and almost any other office within the University are often truthfully blamed for being extremely disorganized, rude, and careless. The substandard sports teams, depressing rainy and cold weather seasons, and the poor parking and transportation around campus are other aspects that make the otherwise perfect school seem less than. Overall, students at Clark Atlanta are happy with their choice of schooling. Most students, faculty, and alumni would agree that the CAU experience is like no other college experience in the world. Students leave Clark with great memories and even greater lessons learned. One can’t promise anything from Clark Atlanta University but an abundance of enriching experiences (whether they are good or bad). At Clark Atlanta, there will be extreme highs and lows, but most students here agree that college is what you make it, and in a city like Atlanta, there are many opportunities to make many things possible.

I have learned many life lessons...
I have learned many life lessons through my experiences here at Clark Atlanta. First off, studying ahead of time really does pay off. Secondly, knowing how to talk to people really can get you a long way when you’re lacking experience. Most importantly, getting what you really want isn’t always easy but if you work hard enough at it, it will eventually come. |

Clark has really prepared me well for the future, and I’m proud to be a CAU Panther. I look forward to coming to the Homecoming events and seeing all the friends that I made while at school. The memories that I take with me shall never be forgotten. |

Clark Atlanta charges way too much...
Clark Atlanta charges way too much tuition for the education and services they provide. I will probably be transferring to Georgia State University next year. The tuition at Georgia state schools is about half the cost, but you don’t get the same attention because the classes are usually filled with over 100 kids. I understand the benefits of both schools, but I have to say that going to a better funded school makes more sense than staying at Clark Atlanta. |

Compared to the other schools in...
Compared to the other schools in the AUC, Clark Atlanta is by far the most well-rounded. Being accepted into Spelman was a great accomplishment, but when I visited the campus and met some of the alumni, I could tell that the environment there was way to high-strung and uppity. What I love about my school is that the students are diverse, and I don’t think the school focuses on bringing a certain ‘type.’ There’s no doubt in my mind that I made the best choice. Clark Atlanta University is great! |

I believe that coming to Clark has been one of my best choices in life. I have learned so much through my many experiences here, and I’m proud to be able to call myself a CAU Panther. Clark Atlanta University is, in my opinion, the best school a young, black, intelligent individual can attend. This school is full of academic and social challenges, but if you’re able to see it through to the end, there will be great rewards. |
