Varsity sports aren't too big around campus. People don't make a big deal out of attending games and showing support.

I believe the Greek organizations play an important role on our campus. Pledging a Greek-letter organization is a great way to network within the professional community.

The Greeks at Clark don’t play a major role in just about anything at Clark. The only Greeks that have seminars and fundraisers consistently are the Deltas. The party scene on campus is completely dead. Atlanta is such a big city that the Greeks really can’t compete with some of the elaborate parties that are thrown many times a year.

Greek life at CAU is probably not as good as other schools like Howard or Texas Southern University. For some reason, CAU Greeks are just really boring. At HBCUs in Texas, Greeks will just start strolling for no particular reason other than just to stroll. I have also noticed that there are not many Greek functions or programs on campus.

Clark Atlanta University...

Clark Atlanta University definitely has the stereotypical Greeks. With no disrespect to any of the organizations, the AKAs are mostly light-skinned girls with long-straight hair that dress for the runway everyday, the Deltas are typically dark-skinned girls who are crunk, the Alphas act like they’re better than everyone else, the Kappas are wannabe pretty boys, and the Omegas are wild and loud.

I don’t really pay attention to the Greek life because it really doesn’t interest me. To me, fraternities, sororities, and Greek life in general distract students from the major objective of college. I like the fact that they perform services for the community, but I feel that they should be more focused on getting good grades and graduating with a good job.

It’s unreliable and unsafe for young women on the train and the bus. There are passengers on the train who do not have other passengers’ best interests at heart. I would not suggest that you catch the train or bus at night by yourself. There are usually a few crazy people in the MARTA station at night.

There is a man who rides the MARTA that you should avoid. He has three bottle caps, an eraser, and a piece of cardboard. Don’t fall into his hustle. His main phrase is, ‘Your college, my knowledge. Your eyes, my prize.’ He tries to hustle you out of your money by playing slick bottle cap games. And when that doesn’t work, he is going to pull out a deck of cards.

The RAs are usually very cool. I can honestly say that I haven’t had a problem with any campus administrator or RA since I’ve been in school. The main people that seem to get into trouble on campus are people who just get caught up doing stupid things like driving recklessly (trying to show off) or people who foolishly smoke weed out in the open public.

The great thing about Atlanta is that this city is one of those cities that will have every type of seasonal change. People who are accustomed to hot weather will get a hell of a heat wave during the summer. The cold and rainy weather lovers will get a season full of heavy showers and cool to almost freezing temperatures.

The rain never seems to end in this city. I can honestly say that I have never been to a city that goes through such a heavy rain season. The best advice I can give to future students is to invest in a good umbrella and raincoat because, if not, that fresh weave and that new outfit will get soaked.

I would definitely recommend Clark Atlanta University to anyone looking for an inspiring, productive learning environment and campus life. There are areas of improvement, but there is no place on earth that is perfect.

My experience at Clark Atlanta has been amazing so far. I’m proud to say that I have met people who I believe will be in my life from now until forever. The best thing about Clark is the connections and friendships that you get a chance to build with people from Clark, Morehouse, and Spelman. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would definitely choose Clark Atlanta University.

I love Atlanta, and I wouldn’t mind living here one day. CAU has afforded me with an opportunity that I will never forget and always be able to employ. My passionate teachers have not only motivated me, but showed me the best ways to reach my goals. I have also had the privilege of meeting peers who I am sure will be successful and become my lifelong friends. If I had the chance to go back to high school and choose what college I wanted to attend, I would choose Clark in a heartbeat.

When we get bad weather here, no one really is in the mood to be extra cute. It’s imperative that you bring an umbrella, because the rainstorms will definitely come throughout the year.

The weather in Atlanta is very funny because you’ll have days of total sunshine, and then all of a sudden it’ll be pouring down outside. The best advice I can give is to always be prepared for the rainy season, because when it comes, it really is heavy.

You learn so much from your peers, and it’s an awesome feeling. Most of your college friends will remain your friends throughout life. If I could do this all over again, I probably would, because I think it has been one of the most memorable times of my life. I don’t think I would have been the same person if I wouldn’t have come to Clark Atlanta.

I believe that coming to Clark has been one of my best choices in life. I have learned so much through my many experiences here, and I’m proud to be able to call myself a CAU Panther. Clark Atlanta University is, in my opinion, the best school a young, black, intelligent individual can attend. This school is full of academic and social challenges, but if you’re able to see it through to the end, there will be great rewards.

Compared to the other schools in the AUC, Clark Atlanta is by far the most well-rounded. Being accepted into Spelman was a great accomplishment, but when I visited the campus and met some of the alumni, I could tell that the environment there was way to high-strung and uppity. What I love about my school is that the students are diverse, and I don’t think the school focuses on bringing a certain ‘type.’ There’s no doubt in my mind that I made the best choice. Clark Atlanta University is great!

Clark Atlanta charges way too much...

Clark Atlanta charges way too much tuition for the education and services they provide. I will probably be transferring to Georgia State University next year. The tuition at Georgia state schools is about half the cost, but you don’t get the same attention because the classes are usually filled with over 100 kids. I understand the benefits of both schools, but I have to say that going to a better funded school makes more sense than staying at Clark Atlanta.

I have learned many life lessons through my experiences here at Clark Atlanta. First off, studying ahead of time really does pay off. Secondly, knowing how to talk to people really can get you a long way when you’re lacking experience. Most importantly, getting what you really want isn’t always easy but if you work hard enough at it, it will eventually come.

Clark Atlanta Police need some...

Clark Atlanta Police need some improvement, mostly on their social skills. Many of them lack the ability to speak and respect students as adults rather than targets to ticket and boot cars. Most of the gates around campus are usually locked at the appropriate time, and all of the dorms require card access. There is really no serious crime in the area, unless you consider students illegally parking a felony.
