Social Scene
Since Clark is such a small school, there is a lot of interaction between students. This is especially true with members of the same class, since you will all either be stuck going to the same few houses to party every week until you turn 21, or packing into the same two bars every weekend after your 21st birthday. This has its pros and cons. The pro is you easily get to know a ton of people very quickly. The downside of this is that new faces can be harder to come by as time goes on.
Hookups or Relationships?
Hookups seem to be the most often sought after, yet least fulfilled goal at Clark. Many student have gone out one night looking for a random hookup and either come home empty-handed or in a relationship. Random hookups do happen, of course, but due to the size of the school, it seems to be a difficult balancing act to maintain a promiscuous lifestyle without the consequence of a bad reputation.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
Clark has many vantage points for scoping out guys and girls. The Green, class (depending on your major), and especially the caf are simply thin façades for date-hunting grounds. However, although people may do their fair share of looking from these locations, they tend not to use them for new interaction. There are even some girls who go to WPI to meet boys, because of the dearth of them at Clark, and party because WPI has a lot of frat houses. Chances are, unless you are one of the more courageous people at Clark, you will be doing most of your flirting at parties or bars.
Dress Code
Clarkies dress in almost every style. There are those that wake up and feel the need to wear a suit around for the day. Others are fine in a pair of sandals and ripped cut-off shorts. Many athletes don the all-sweat-clothes look, and most others just look nice in a simple T-shirt and jeans. Whether you like to dress very conservative or very outlandish, the distasteful looks from fellow students will be few, if any.
