Unlike the feelings about on-campus dining, Clarkies love the local Worcester restaurants around campus and all over Worcester. If there is a nationality whose food you like to eat, then you can definitely find it near Clark, probably within walking distance. On top of the closeness to campus, most of the restaurants in the area are right inside the budget of a college student. Some consider Worcester to have a better dining scene than Boston due to the amount of great food at low prices. Many students travel off campus very frequently to their favorite places instead of eating on campus, and still others continue to explore the area and constantly return with tales of new and delicious places.

Worcester is a breeding ground for locally-owned restaurants and chains alike. Because of so many hungry locals and students, prices are able to be kept very low for a pretty large amount of food. Heading farther from campus, like down Shrewsbury Street, prices begin to rise, but so does the quality of the dining experience. If you need a place to take your parents, then head out in that direction, and you'll be sure to spend 20 minutes driving up and down the street trying to decide which place looks the best.
