There really isn't much diversity on campus.

You can never find a good parking spot until about after 4:00 pm.

I think the strictness is in the middle. It's not very strict with noise and usually more strict with alcohol.
College Sophomore 2013-11-15T17:14:21Z
Parking fills up fast and a lot of people from the high school across the street park on the street when we may want to if we are in a hurry.

Health & Safety:
Campus is very safe and security is always willing to help or walk with you if needed. There have only been a couple of crimes but nothing very dangerous.

The teachers are wonderful and I constantly have amazing opportunities like research presented to me. They genuinely care about my education and keep me working hard and persevering to get better. I am often told about internship opportunities and different classes I can take that will help with my major.
College Sophomore 2013-11-15T17:12:06Z
All other academics are just as good. The professors try to make class as a fulfilling time. The workloas differs for each class but generally a good workload. There are study sessions where we can study with a guide if we are confused and teachers always welcome us into their offices.

There are at least four areas with computers available, not including some classrooms too. The network is reliable as long as you are on one of their computers. The speed of the wireless access is great, but when using own computer is hit or miss at times. Printing can be done off of school computers. every semester there are a certain number of pages you can print free.

There are two lots for residents and one for commuters. Cost is $45 to register commuter parking for one year and $5 to register another vehical. There is street parking but that is always full by 8 am.

There are many majors to major in at clarke. When you are in a major you most likely have the same people in the same classes. This is nice because then you have consistency and people to study with. The teachers always know you by name because the classes are small.

There is the SAC which has a study area, a game room, the book store, and a grill. There is also a work out room and this is where the gym is where all the games take place. The library is very nice and has lots of places to study in.

The varsity sports are pretty big at Clarke. The basketball and baseball team are the best. The games are very exciting and it gives us clarke people something to do.

Dubuque is not full of places to go but you can definitely find things to do. It definitely gets better when you turn 21.
College Sophomore 2013-08-25T23:13:01Z
The only transportation at Clarke would have to be the Jule. I believe it runs every 15 minutes. Its nice for when you go out at night because it runs late. This way you do not have to worry about driving anywhere!

Clarke University offers a wide variety of excellently cooked main courses. I have given Clarke a B+, for the quality of food has decreased as there is a new head of Dining Services now.

Financial aid was very easy to complete at this school, however I did not receive enough to pay for the whole year since the tuition was so high.
College Junior 2013-05-17T15:02:36Z
We just got a new commuter lot and it is very close to all the classrooms. None of the lots are more than a 5 minute walk and the price of the parking pass is fairly cheap. Roadside parking can fill up fast but the parking lots are not patrolled every day so often they can park in the lot if they have to. The tickets are only 5 dollars.

Dubuque is a smaller town and it is located right along the Mississippi river and very close to Illinois. Everyone there is very friendly and they offer a lot of fun activities. There is the River Museum in downtown Dubuque, Finley's landing located outside of Dubuque, and Sundown skiing also located outside of Dubuque There are three colleges all within the same area. There are also plenty of diverse places to eat. Dubuque is a nice place to live and go to school.

Very good restaurants off campus/ downtown Dubuque. Definitely love going to them and trying them out.
College Sophomore 2013-04-16T15:43:41Z
Good atmosphere. People are generally nice and friendly. Thats one of the reasons I came here. The town can be sketchy sometimes, and there isnt much to do. But it has its pretty side to it and its kind of small.
College Sophomore 2013-04-16T15:40:46Z
If you signed up for graphic design you were in it. There wasn't an application process or admission in any way. Great program. Great teachers.
College Sophomore 2013-04-16T15:39:32Z
Not a lot of parties, no clubs or bars that are under 18, transportation is available but not a lot of people use it.Not a ton to do in Dubuque.
College Sophomore 2013-04-01T19:26:23Z
Many houses are close in proximity to Clarke, but sometimes availability is not always there. Prices are very reasonable compared to other college towns.
College Sophomore 2013-03-29T15:04:44Z
I don't feel like the dining options are very conenient because you have to go quite ways away to get to one and when you don't have a car that's difficult.
College Sophomore 2013-03-29T15:03:21Z
The bus the have come around is very convenient and is free to students who show their crusader card but a car is nice when you want to go at a specific time.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
