Overall Experience

Clemson offers an amazing college experience. Students return for the rest of their lives to see how the campus has changed and to support the Tigers. Although it is located in a small town, the school is big enough that there is never a dull moment, and the location only makes the student body closer to one another. As anyone who has been to Clemson knows, the students’ blood here is orange, and the Clemson spirit is contagious for almost anyone who attends.

I’m from Orlando, so it took me a while to get used to the small-town, ‘heavily Southern’ atmosphere, but once I did, it really started to grow on me. It’s an awesome school—a lot of fun.

I didn’t want to come to Clemson at first. My mind was set on UNC my entire life, but UNC doesn’t accept many out-of-state students. So, when I was deferred until May, I had to make a choice, and I went with Clemson—best decision I’ve made regarding my education.

I am definitely glad I picked Clemson, and it’s not just me—people love the school. Clemson (and SC) pride are definitely in the air. People are friendly and happy to be here . . . It’s a little secluded, so it’s kind of our own little world. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I really didn’t like the school when I first came here because it’s such a small town, and a lot of the time you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. But after a semester here, I really started to like it more, and now I love it! It’s a great school and President Barker is really set on making constant improvements.

CU is a really tight-knit, close atmosphere in a really beautiful place—the campus is right on Lake Hartwell. Everyone here is really loyal to the school.
