My father has a high salary so I did not receive any financial aid, except scholarship through the state. Continuing in my undergraduate years I have received multiple scholarships from Clemson for good grades. I didn't even have to apply for them!

The CAT (Clemson Area Transit) is a wonderful transportation system. The stops and schedules are online and now even on apps. It is convient and free.

At any given day you can see people walkin down Tiger Blvd. or playing with frisbees. The atmosphere is really warm and friendly.

The weather is random but it makes good memories with friends. When it rain there are going to be puddles everywhere and I do mean everywhere. It gets really windy and cold though that mostly just has to do with the time of the year. Rain is usually the biggest obstacle so make sure you have a good pair of rain boots. And when it is sunny don't forget your hammocks!

Off campus housing at Clemson consists of apartments. Most of the apartments are expensive but in the end you will save more money on housing by living off campus if you go for seething practical and economical.

Was not part of Greek life. 73% of students are not apart of Greek life. Socially there are Greek events, but there is plenty to do otherwise. Being in Greek life or not does not change how others viewed you. There are some off campus Fraternity houses. The rest have on campus housing set aside.

Many student housing complexes, ranging from very expensive to affordable. Everyone should be able to find something that meets their tast and budget.

It's pretty easy getting into the engineering program. It's mostly math and science classes. You can usually declare your major by the second year and you only have to take a few required classes to be accepted into it.

Clemson has tiger transit and they can pick you up anywhere on campus anytime at night but most of the time they're really late and take a long time to get you to your destination. They also have catbus and it takes you to some off campus sites and cities but if you really want to go off campus just take a car.

Getting into the Computer Science department is easy. Must maintain at least C in each class to allow class to count towards degree. Our department offers 3 Bachelor's degrees and several Masters/PhD programs

There are so many options to eat off campus. And most are very close to campus. There is one road that has almost everything from fast-food to sit down restaurants. Most of the places take Tiger Stripe, which is a reloadable account associated with your CUID.

Computers are available in several places on campus, such as the library and other popular academic buildings. Printers are also available and each student is given a certain amount of free prints to use, which comes in handy. However, I think it is very important to have a laptop of your own.

There are several inter-campus buses. And buses that go to most of the off-campus apartments. All run frequently and all are free.

The nightlife at Clemson always involved "going downtown" which could only happen if you are 21. Turning 21 was a rite of passage. If you are under 21, you look for house parties, or become friends with a frat. There are several bars downtown; they are all about the same "style." What's nice is Clemson provided a free bus during all drinking hours. You can easily live within walking distance and if don't Clemson provides a bus that runs as late as the bars are open.

Drinking is the social sport of Clemson. I never noticed an overwhelming strong presence of drugs (other than smoking).

The CAT (Clemson Area Transit) Bus service is free to students and others. The buses operate on an odd schedule and stop running after a certain time. There is an on campus shuttle that operates from 6pm to 6am should you need to get around campus however they are sometimes unreliable.

The off-campus dining options are rather diverse for a small town campus. Some of the restaurants are extremely unique to Clemson and must be tried before you graduate. Such popular destinations include the Smoking Pig and Mac's Diner; both have become favorites of mine. Since it is a small town campus, some places are a little drives away but it is worth it.

Clemson is ranked within the top 25 public universities and for a good reason. It provides students with a wide range of intense academic programs and has an outstanding engineering program. We are the second happiest college campus in the country and it's easily noticed. Our football team and school spirit cannot be matched. We have so many school traditions and just such an at home atmosphere that it's almost impossible not to love this place. I actually came into Clemson as a USC fan (Clemson's rival) and soon enough, I converted to pulling for Clemson. It's so hard not to get involved here with everything from Greek life to the multiple clubs and organizations. Clemson has a very diverse campus and I will always recommend to undecided high school seniors to consider Clemson for their college career.

Clemson has an absolutely beautiful campus. Downtown provides a small town college atmosphere and helps students to feel at home while attending college. Clemson has a lot of history and surrounded by the blue ridge mountains; providing students with a scenic place to call home and places to explore on the weekends. There are tons of organizations to join and it's almost impossible not to get involved. Death Valley stadium is where our tigers play and brings people from all over for football games. I couldn't be prouder of attending this widely accredited university.

I am a History major with a minor in Econ, this has given me a wide variety of class experiences throughout the University. The instructors all seem to genuinely care about the subjects they teach and the students in their classrooms.

There isn't a better college experience than Clemson!

There are plenty of options for students, the local scene is a stumble away from campus as well as plenty of other options minutes from the front entrance. There is a mid-large size city only 20-30 minutes from campus, Greenville, that has almost anything you could need or want.
College Junior 2013-03-06T17:44:56Z
The financial section at the University is highly involved with the admissions process. The also keep track of some availability for scholarships, with that tracking students that qualify are automatically entered by the school.

For the most part there are white people everywhere, and most of them consider themselves Christians. Although the latter isn't true it does allow for very similar people groups. In any crowd there are going to be the outsiders, and Clemson is no exception, but with the combination of different personalities and races Clemson is decently diverse.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
