I got a substantial amount of financial aid to go toward my schooling. It wasn't enough to cover all of my dues though. I still had to apply for student loans to cover some of my tuition. It was a long process and took a lot of paper work.

Since the campus is built on a mountainous terrain, when it rains, the water puddles up in areas really bad. But on the bright side, there are drain areas for the water to go. Also, when it rains, it isn't just a quick shower, it rains for days at a time. If you decide to go to Clemson, you better buy a rain jacket and rain boots!

The parking is pretty far away from the residential dorms. Sometimes there is not enough parking for everyone to be able to have a spot. On football game days, every one has to move their car to a field that is tremendously far away from the dorms in order to have parking for the tail gate people. If you are a commuter, it is even worse because you have to arrive on campus early enough to actually get a spot, then you have to walk a far distance in order to get to the buildings that have the student's classes in them. Some of the building are really far away from the parking lot and would take over 30 minutes just to walk that distance.

The cost of eating off campus in the down town area is a little expensive. Even though they do advertise discounts to college students, it is still too prices for a college student like me to eat at those places once a week.

Health & Safety:
I never felt unsafe on campus and security /police are always patrolling campus. There are very few tragic events that happen on campus that threaten the life of students.

The off campus housing are many different styles of apartments. These apartment complexes are extremely nice and within 5 minutes from campus driving. CAT buses will pick you up from your apartment and take you to class so that you don't have to drive.

The weather at Clemson is typically good weather. It will rain some throughout the week, but classes and buildings are located close to together on campus so walking is not that big of a deal in rain or shine. Also it rarely snows so not being able to make it to class is not an issue.

The gym on campus could be a little bit bigger to accommodate the large student body, but it is a nice facility. There are a lot of free fitness classes held throughout the day. Campus is pretty and is even more beautiful in the Spring when the trees are all blooming. Cooper Library is really big. Sometimes you have to search for a seat, but usually you can find one.

Health & Safety:
I usually feel really safe on campus. I feel a little unsafe when I walk back to my on campus apartment at night. However, there are escorts you can get to walk back with you to your dorm or apartment.

Football is king at Clemson. The Fall is always fun with the tailgating and games. Everyone really gets into it. Even if you aren't a football fan when you get here, you will be by the end of your first game. Fraternities and Sororities are big on campus, but there's no need to join them if you don't want to. Sometimes it does feel like you are trapped in this town though. There's not much to do in Clemson, so once football season is over it can get pretty boring. The CAT bus is really convenient for student who don't want to bring there car to school.

Clemson is a well-known international university. On top of reaching out to students across the world, we have different clubs and tons of speeches, lectures, and opportunities to broaden our horizons and thoughts on cultures and races different than our own. Just walk around campus for a day... We have it all!

weather is mild. Can get cold for a few days in the winter but nothing bad. In the fall it is still hot and humid. Overall it is great as you don't need to worry too much about snow.

Guys & Girls:
most people are friendly and are there to get a great education. There is a lot to do and its easy to meet people. You will always have the rednecks and the divas in the mix, but it is a great mix of the academic, athletic and social.

The computers at Clemson are great. There are computers in the library as well as numerous computer labs all over campus. You can print about 500 black/white pages for free per semester. It is nice to have your own printer in the event you don't want to go on campus to print. But you can print from anywhere on campus, including personal computer, and then swipe your card in the library or computer labs and print anywhere.

It is great to live on campus because you are in the middle of everything and the atmosphere is great. The dorms are pretty old, and they show it, but they are usable and it is an experience.
College Sophomore 2013-01-27T03:31:39Z
Clemson Football is a HUGE deal. The entire first semester pretty much revolves around it. All of Saturday is dedicated to Clemson Football games, especially when they are at home. You can see people tailgating since the morning! This is a part of the reason why I chose Clemson, the atmosphere is just so exciting! There's nowhere else that I'd rather be on a fall Saturday than in Tiger Town.

Clemson offers SI (supplemental instruction) sessions, which are super helpful. Classes that are known to be especially challenging will have an SI leader who attends class and takes notes. The leader will have 2-3 sessions a week to review material from class and answer any questions that the students may have. All of them also have test reviews, where they administer a practice test and go over the answers in depth to insure that every student feels more confident walking into the exam. Studies have shown that students who attend SI sessions see an improvement in their exam grades.

I'm an accounting major, and I've been extremely satisfied with my education so far. I have been promised a challenging course load, and I have received just that. The classes I've taken, and am taking, are a mix of easy and difficult. However, every class is thought-provoking. I can't wait to see what classes are offered to me in the next few semesters!

Have to travel to next town to view a movie or the sorts.

This is my first University program and it is very close knit. I enjoy the feeling of being welcome and have not met a discouraging face. The academic programs are rigorous and challenging but with good guidance from the professors so it's not too difficult. I enjoy living off campus-but I do not feel out of touch because I am still close.

It depends on who you surround yourself with, I have had minimal experience, but I keep busy so I cannot accurately describe this.

Health & Safety:
I feel secure as I walk around campus-although the parking lots seem isolated many Emergency Buttons are available. I have never felt threatened or the urge to press them but I assume that they work well with timely responses.

we were required to purchase a particular computer at a very reasonable cost. All necessary software etc was loaded onto the system before it reached me. I have not encountered any problems with the network and wi-fi is not only available on campus but all throughout the town.
College Freshman 2013-01-21T18:02:21Z
There are a ton of convienences within walking distance and our CAT bus runs all over the area including off campus university housing. This makes everyday transportation easy. Most of the time my car stays parked all week. However, I do need my car to go home since it is 5 hours away but I have found others to ride share. Even though I use my car I have been able to recoup some travel expenses by dropping others off in towns along my route home.

There are plenty of activities available for all ages, from on campus activities to those held off campus, as well as those associated with fraternities.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
