Health & Safety:
Having an extensive health record, I have chosen other health establishments before the school health center. My prolonged qt syndrome, gall stones and turrets are always causing me to need medical help. Redfern the school health center usually is only able to diagnose the problem (that I'm already of aware of) then proceed to send me elsewhere for better treatment. Therefore, I go directly to other institutions of medicine to get help.

Living off campus requires students to take care of extra expenses such as gas and parking decals. Although these extraneous expenses arise, monthly cost of off campus living can be potentially cheaper than on campus. Depending of living arrangements such as the number of roommates, and desired amenities; apartment costs can be considerably cheaper than Clemson's campus housing costs. Another pro of living off campus, is the "home away from home" feeling that a dorm cannot give students. It's nice to enjoy a larger space with your roommates. Some apartments even allow students to keep animals, which from personal experience has been the most rewarding aspect of living off campus. Living off campus requires better time management because drives to campus can sometimes take 20 minutes even if 3 miles away. Off campus students must prepare their days better because books, and other materials are a simple walk away. After all things considered I would suggest living off campus because the flexibility with pets, amenities, and the homey feeling really enhance the college living experience.

Clemson is a southern school, which means football is a big thing here, everyone comes together and is like a big family that is cheering for their Tigers, no matter what! Every Friday, lots of students wear their orange to show support for our Tigers. It is a big deal!

Clemson offers Catbus, which can pick you up from your apartment, campus, etc. and take you to wherever you need to go, for free. It is free to everyone and goes to Anderson, Seneca, etc.

Health & Safety:
I always feel safe walking around Clemson. They have police that are readily available, and they have emergency buttons that are lit up and all over campus, so if I ever feel unsafe, I can push it and know that help is coming. That isn't to say you can be stupid. Lock your doors at night, and walk around in a group when possible at night time. Clemson tries its absolute hardest to keep us safe; however, we need to be smart too

Our campus is beautiful, with plenty of places to hang out. Bowman field, the Botanical Gardens, and Hendrix student center are just a few of the many places Clemson has for students to come and have fun. We also have downtown, which is great to go and get a bite to eat, or pick up another Clemson t-shirt! Fike is our gym, and it really is beautiful. The only downside is the Union, which needs renovation, however in the next couple of years they plan on tearing it down and making a whole new student center. In addition, construction here is super fast, so the new facility would be up quickly!

I'm in the College of Health, Education, and Human development and I've been impressed by all the opportunities they've offered. I am a Special Education major and the program is great and very well known

There are a ton of places to live off campus. Most are by campus and there's a bus line that goes around the farther away places and comes straight to campus.

It's not very hard to get into most majors. Changing majors is also easy.

Clemson is a huge football school! We have one of the best environments on game day. All of the other varsity sports are pretty exciting as well. We have a wide variety of intramural and club sports available for students who don't quite have what it takes to play varsity!

Clemson University does a pretty good job promoting acceptance of difference cultures, political beliefs, religions, economic backgrounds and sexual orientation. The university frequently puts on seminars and programs to promote awareness about different culture groups. However, most people here are upper/middle class whites. Minorities aren't represented well within the student body.

Parking on campus is pretty difficult because of the size of campus. It's a pretty good hike from the commuter lots to class, anywhere from seven minutes to twenty five minutes depending on how quick you walk. Parking services is your worst enemy, they're always out patrolling looking to issue parking citations. However, parking has improved in the three years I've been here because commuters no longer have to walk all the way from kite hill!

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe at Clemson. You here very little about any theft. The students themselves are very trustworthy people. The theft that does happen is not from the students, but from people visiting the campus for football games or other activities.

An ethernet cord is a must for dorm life! The wireless internet connection in some of the dorms is only okay. The library is usually pretty crowded durring the day and sometimes it is hard to find a seat.

Clemson students make up a very large portion of the fan base. Everyone goes to the football games and everyone gets really involved in cheering on the tigers.

Greek life is a huge part of Clemson, but they definitely don't make you feel awkward if you aren't a part of one. To me, Clemson has a perfectly balanced Greek life.

Clemson is a town with a lot to offer. Downtown is located within walking distance of the school, and has many different shops and restaurants. Natural parks are also not too far away, and the walking trails and waterfalls are gorgeous.

Printers and computer all across campus. Mostly up to date as you'd expect a college's computers to be. Network is superb ( direct fiber connection to a major hub ) Wi-fi is available anywhere on campus.

Did a Co-op (cooperative education program similar to internship). Clemson makes it very easy for its engineering students to secure interviews with several companies for co-op opportunities.

It's a good major. Most teachers are knowledgeable about their areas and are happy to help students.

Many restaurants around Clemson, and even some in Anderson, will take TigerStripe, your school "debit card." Cost is reasonable, many restaurants are within walking distance of campus (downtown) and others are not a far drive at all. I would definitely check out Sardie's (on Hwy 93 across from Bi-lo.)

Guys & Girls:
Students at Clemson have many different styles, but they all have at least one commonality - They LOVE Clemson!! Students at Clemson share and express a love for the university and community that is very special and unlike many other schools. Males and females alike enjoy tailgating for the football games, going to other sporting events, participating in clubs, intramural sports, Greek life, as well as organizations pertaining to their particular major.

In my opinion, there should be a no tobacco policy

Guys & Girls:
Everyone makes this campus feel like a large family! The guys always look spiffy on game day with their bow ties. Lots of the guys cannot be stereotyped, but we have frat boys, farm boys, and country boys. The social life is always booming. The girls are classic southern belles as well as northern beauties. Everyone dresses up on game day and shares the love!

I don't really use it that much but for who uses it, I've been told it's useful.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
