Most go to out of state students. For a rather expensive college, they give out little financial aid.

It's decent and well kept but outdated. Many parts of on campus housing could be redone. After seeing where my siblings stay on campus at other colleges, it makes me jealous their conditions are much nicer.

Clemson has an abundance of off campus living arrangements, but it definitely depends on where you can get an apartment. You'll most likely have to meet someone new to fill in that last room, or you might not have a washer and dryer. The prices range from $300-$500 a month, depending on the utilities. That price doesn't include the cost of groceries, food, gas money, or a commuter decal. In my opinion, the positives of living off campus far exceeds the few drawbacks. No worries, though! Clemson has laundry-mats, CAT buses, (public transportation to and from campus and around the Clemson/Anderson area), and tons of places to eat and have fun. There is always the very rare occasion you can't find a parking spot. You might have to walk a little bit farther to class on certain days, but there's always somewhere for a commuter to park without getting ticketed. Clemson is a safe, family-oriented place as it is. Safety isn't an issue. My only suggestion is get to class early on Mondays... That's usually when commuter parking is at its worst!

Varsity sports at Clemson are outstanding. The campus is supportive of not just football, but all varsity sports. Our recreation building, Fike, offers tons of accommodations in addition to our workout equipment such as personal trainers, a public gym, yoga and Zumba classes, and our own indoor aquatic center. Intramurals are pretty big and easy to become involved in. We have an abundance of clubs and activities to become a part of such as Central Spirit and Collegiate IPTAY to get benefits for varsity athletic events. Every Friday is Solid Orange Friday to show that we support our Tigers. School spirit is way above average and our Athletic Department is very approachable when it comes to getting more information on our Varsity Athletics.

Clemson is very diverse with students from all over the world.

There is always something to do at night in Clemson. Whether you are of age to drink or not.

Health & Safety:
Clemson is a very safe school. The university has put a great deal of time and money in recent years into improving the campus safety and security protocols and procedures. I am perfectly comfortable walking around campus alone at night. The university also often asks the student body what they can do to make improvements. The police and campus security are all super nice and understanding, unless they get you on a speeding ticket.

The campus has a very good academic and a social program. It's like a big family!! The police are strict but there to help you at any time.

There's always someonethere to help you and I've never had any problems.

We have pretty good options on campus like Einstein's bagels, Papa John's, Subway, Chili's, and an ice cream shop. We also have Schilletter dining hall and Harcombe dining hall which are okay, nothing special.

Well, if you walk on campus at Clemson you're probably going to see a lot of White people. We're not a very diverse campus as far as having different ethnic groups or cultures. It doesn't mean that we're racist or anything, I believe we're trying to diversify as we get better academically.

Guys & Girls:
Most of the guys here are pretty cute if you're in to the southern boy type. The guys usually wear brands like Polo or Southern Tide. Lilly Pulitzer and jack rogers are must-haves if you're going to join a sorority. Also get your nike shorts ready, because most days that's what girls wear paired with an oversized t-shirt.

I'm pretty disappointed with the rigor of the academics here. I don't feel challenged in my courses as a Psychology major. Internships and research opportunities are pretty limited unless you're an engineering or agriculture major. As long as you go to class, you pretty much don't have to do much else. Most professors curve test grades or drop the lowest grade.

Financial aid is so hard to get. If you're out of state you really have a very small chance of getting anything. If you're a transfer student, you really shouldn't plan to receive anything, you're not even eligible until after you spend a semester paying full tuition.

While drug use, specifically alcohol use tends to be moderately high at Clemson, the university does a great job at getting a handle on it. All freshmen go through extensive alcohol and drug safety classes and discussions. Clemson LIVE also has university sponsored events almost every weekend to provide non-alcohol related activities for students that may not have plans.

Clemson, unlike any other school I considered, has a small college feel within a large university. There's no pressure to rush or get involved in the party scene. Everyone gets involved with something, and very few people are involved with nothing. There's something for everyone - from religious organizations to intramural sports to clubs for just about every interest. There's always something fun and safe to do.

Dining halls tend to not offer very cost-efficient options or healthy options. If you don't have a meal plan, eating on campus is not worth it

The campus is start of the art and the Clemson is always improving and trying to expand. One of my favorite buildings on the campus is the Academic Success Center and its purpose is in the title. They promote success for students in a variety of ways, and try and help you get ahead. I have used their services and always feel better about my decision to make the effort and go get help.

Health & Safety:
There are numerous telephones on campus for your safety. The CUPD number is located in very convenient locations. Just be smart, and keep your doors locked and always remember the buddy rule. With that being said, Clemson is very safe and family oriented.

The student Life at Clemson is very active. There are tons of things to do every week and possible every day. There are hundreds of organizations to join that can suit your talents and hobbies. The athletics, The Clemson football team and that familial sense you get in Death Valley. The hundreds of movie nights, and roller Derbys and pickup games at Bowman Field. The fitness facilities at Fike and the Copper Library are just some of the places that you can find solitude and comfort. The solid orange Fridays the pride of Clemson that is shown through the city of Clemson really just bonds the students, alumni and first time visitors.

There are plenty of computers to use in the library, and there are many other computer labs around campus that are free to use. Printing is kind of expensive, but the network is fast and the computer support is good.

A car is not necessary, but the parking is kind of a pain and parking services gives out a lot of tickets.

It is friendly and geared towards college students. Southern Hospitality never fails.

The town of Clemson is a vibrant place to be. It is in a great location, right outside of Greenville, and not too far from Altanta. The scenery is stunning, with the lake and the mountains. There is so much to do!

There are many options for varieties of food and price ranges.
