My school is a very greek campus. Coming from the north I was unsure about sororities but at Clemson I feel it is essential to join a sorority. I am an education major and we are required to student teach senior year at local schools to get more experience before graduating. Our school is also big on promoting study abroad for all students.

Clemson is a college town. There are grocery stores such as Walmart and Target about 15 minutes away. The main place to go in Clemson is downtown on Main Street. There are plenty of restaurants from Italian to sushi.

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe on Clemson campus. We rarely have a safety problem but you should always be prepared for anything. We have a number of emergency policies. The only real threat on campus is the skunks so watch for them at night

You Feel Welcome – Clemson truly is a college town. The atmosphere makes you apart of one large family. Their aren't too many locals since it is primarily a college town, but when you do run into them, they sure are charming. Clemson is surely a happy place.

Top 25 Education – Clemson is a widely accredited university. It's ranked in the top 25 public national universities by the US News and World Report. Clemson really tries its best to help its students succeed in the career field and be ready to take on the rest of their life.

The small town atmosphere and the beautiful scenery make Clemson a great school to come to. When it's fall, Clemson becomes amazing to be around. Sure, we have our bad weather days, but who doesn't? All I can say, is it's better than downtown Columbia.

Somewhat Indifferent – Being a psychology major at a primarily engineering school is hard to say. Clemson doesn't offer too much with CBBS majors. Sure, they help with academics and mentoring programs, but when it comes to getting internships and experience for going into counseling or medical fields, Clemson just doesn't have much to offer. This is not Clemson's fault. I believe it simply has to do with the area in which Clemson's located.

I don't have much experience with on campus computers simply because most students bring their own computers to school.

It's There but It's Not Dominating the Campus. Greek life at Clemson is, I feel, respected compared to other universities. Most universities have a Greek life that's all about partying or having a good time. At Clemson, the Greek life have other objectives and they don't judge you any differently if you wish not to participate.

Love It – I absolutely LOVE it here. At first I was terrified of the culture shock coming from the north, but I've adjusted really well. The people here are all so sweet and helpful. Academics are top-notch and take priority, but that doesn't mean that you can't have fun. There are opportunities to go to parties if you want, and there are chances to stay at home and hang out with friends. The football games are really out of this world and one of the best experiences you will ever have.

Health & Safety:
Totally Safe – I have never felt unsafe on Clemson's Campus. Although the camps is fairly large and open to the community, there has never been an incident that made me feel in danger. At night, TigerTransit can always pick you up if you feel unsafe (or if you just don't want to walk).

Clemson provides a top notch education in architecture. Architecture majors are some of the smartest students on campus, so if you get into the program Clemson will help you succeed.

Can't Wait for Football! Clemson football is definitely a one of a kind experience! I've become friends with many of the athletes and they are all very personable and intelligent, not to mention talented! Clemson is also known for its awesome baseball team. Its always a treat to grab some snacks and watch them play in the springtime.

Every class I have taken has had a very diverse group of students and teachers involved in the learning process. There are many churches affiliated with Clemson University as well as the surrounding areas around campus that provide a place for every student to fit in.

Health & Safety:
Never Fear! Most of the girls keep their doors unlocked on the hall and none of us have ever had a problem with things being stolen. On my walk back to my dorm during the late hours in the night, I find police cars parked all over campus and street lights all around me that make the walk less scary. People are very friendly and open around campus, so I feel quite safe making new friends and living with peers.

Good, Need Better Facility, Join Clubs – Could probably learn more. Mainly need experience, don't use much of what you learn in this major. The civil engineering building needs to be redone. They keep re-doing food places so that they can get money, and don't focus on the academic facilities. Teachers are pretty good, and workload is manageable. May be hard to find a job. Join clubs to make connections. That's your best chance.

Tiger Pride – Varsity sports are a really big deal on campus. Everyone is really supportive of our team, and the players are like campus celebrities, we all get excited when we spot one of them. In short, no matter what the sport or whether it's varsity or intramural, the students really bleed purple and orange at Clemson University.

Sciences Are Favored, but Arts Are Good Also – The Michelin Career center can help you in where to look after school. I am a history major, and will probably end up teaching, so my process will be easy. With some of the more specific majors, that is a good place to start.

Fall and Spring – Fall is great, it will be hot when you get to school but when it is 70 in November you will find it well worth it. Didn't see a snowflake last winter but temps hit low 30s a few times. Spring started in March and it was beautiful until the end of class in May.

Rigorous Depending on Major – Most internships are business and engineering. Clemson Ag or Engineering looks good when trying to land an internship in the south.

Its Good to Be Lucky – Dorms vary drastically around Clemson. For the room itself, Clemson House is the nicest, followed by Brynn Mall (Horseshoe), then Shoeboxes, and the worst is Johnstone. Upperclass dorms Stadium Suites and Lightsey are great, and thornhill is actually a cool little spot. The prices are similar, but location wise, the horseshoe is awesome.

True College Town – The town of Clemson is small, but if you like the feel of the University and the student body, you will like the town. They are basically one in the same. Atmosphere in the fall is unbeatable, especially when the football team is on a roll. There also a few hidden gems of restaurants if you can venture beyond walking distance.

College Town – Clemson is located in "the middle of nowhere", but that doesn't mean you have to drive for an hour to find something to do. Clemson University makes an effort to provide activities on campus. We have bands perform throughout the year. Also, we have festivals frequently; for instance, once a year, we have the international fest. Students and faculty from countries throughout the world get together to sell food and perform dances from their homeland.
Off campus, we have "downtown" Clemson, a small town next to the university. It has restaurants, bars, and clubs. It also has some great (and reasonably-priced) boutiques. The downtown is really geared toward students. Business owners love students.
Overall, Clemson's atmosphere is awesome.

Home Sweet Home – Clemson is my home away from home. I absolutely adore CU. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and as corny as it sounds, we are a family. One of my favorite moments at Clemson has been gameday Saturdays. Fall Saturdays are full of tailgating and cheering for your team with 80,000 of your closest friends. Another great part of Clemson is the academic atmosphere. Students really understand that the primary reason you are at school is to get an education. The fun yet studious atmosphere makes for a great college experience.
