I'm not involved in Greek life, so I don't have a full picture of it. It's not a majority on our campus and students certainly don't feel left out by not being in a sorority or fraternity. It provides a great social atmosphere for those involved, but there are plenty of organizations and school-wide events to be a part of! Many non-Greeks may view Greeks as crazy and they fit right into a stereotype. At the same time I (along with many other non-Greeks) am friends with many Greeks that I love! There is some Greek housing available but sororities can only have dorms. Frats have houses, but sororities can't.

Living on campus is definitely convenient. It's so much easier to be able to walk to class or anywhere on campus, rather than driving and parking and then still walking further from your car than if you walked from on-campus housing. Most of the options aren't overly nice or new, but there are a few that are newer dorms with lots of space and great amenities. The social atmosphere is great because you're constantly surrounded by college students and close to all of your friends if they live on campus as well. The cost is the biggest disadvantage because they charge a lot more because of the location. Plus you have to deal with having a Resident Assistance, which takes away some of the freedom. The housing process is a little bit difficult, but not impossible. It's also inconvenient that you can only move in a few days before school starts and have to be ready to move out the day after finishing exams. Overall though, it's a good experience.

Drinking Is Popular. Although I am sure the drug scene is a bigger than what I think, we do not have apartment raids or anything like that. It is definitely not something you see on a regular basis.

This restaurant is always open. For five dollars you get a lot of decent food. Perfect during a late night study session or after a late night of partying.

On-Campus Apartments – Although a little pricey, sharing an apartment with three friends and being on-campus is worth it. You get your own room with a kitchen and living area.

Hands on Opportunity – I am in Construction Science and Management. I love the fact the professors have many years experience in the field and give every opportunity to do hand on work. Clemson Professors also help with placing students with a great business to work over the summer.

The University Makes You Feel at Home – My university makes you feel like your home. Phone calls are encouraged and constant contact with family is always brought up. Professors and faculty have an open door policy and you can speak to them about anything, from classes to being home sick. Clemson University stands out when it comes to making the transition from being home to being on your own.

Have Not Seen or Had Peer Pressure – I have not experienced the drug scene at Clemson University. Although, I am sure those who participate are always around, I have not had any peer pressure. My mother always told me I am responsible for those I hang with and I chose not to hang with any drug users.

Here at Clemson there is easy cheap transportation. There are the cat buses which will take u practically anywhere around. Clemson, Anderson Easley. Most students have their Own car. Only thing is Parking it is rediculous the spots fill up very quickly if u don't get a close spot you are walking a long way plus the campus cops are butts about tickets.

There is not much diversity at clemson. It is mostly white then blacks and Asians. So there is some racial instincts but they happen rarely.

Parking would be one of the biggest downfalls, if not the only downfall of Clemson University. You have to park so far away and take the area transit, which may take 15-20 min. It just makes getting to class a lot harder and having to allow at least 30 min of travel time.

Fraternity/ Sorority Life Is Strict – It seems as though if any accident occurs in a Fraternity or Sorority event, the entire Greek population is punished, which I find to be rather excessive.

The two main dining halls at Clemson have a wide variety of choices each and every day, however the quality wasnt as promising as I had expected. However, there were many other places such as Chic-fil-a, Wendys, and many more choices that were excellent on campus. Just not very pleased with the dining halls!

Pretty Diverse School – Clemson is a pretty diverse school although there are a lot of white people and a lot of Asians. Every race, religion, and ethnicity is represented on Clemson's campus by someone.

I came to Clemson University because I wanted warm weather, a fun campus, and great academics. There is always something to do on campus and people to hang out with. The professors are always willing to offer you some extra help if you ask. The honors college is also great at Clemson, especially since the honors classes are much smaller than the general lecture hall classes.

Co-Ops Offer Real Experience – This school is big with its extraordinary amount of things you can do to help your resume. The michelin career center does a great job providing opportunities for those interested. You just gotta make sure you look.

Good If You Know What You Want – There is usually always something going on. It just depends on who you're with and what they are into. Downtown is pretty much all 21 or older and even still people say it gets boring. But overall good

Health & Safety:
Safe for the Most Part – There are some instances where you find yourself darting as fast you can to your car or dorm if you live on campus. Strange people sometimes lurk around campus so make sure you are walking with someone especially in the after hours on those late nights in the library. Though, for the most part its a pretty safe scene and there are usually people walking around that time who could spot or help danger for you.

Living on Campus – Love love love the apartments; freshmen dorms are a little gross and depressing. I feel like the upperclassmen get shafted on housing a lot of times.

Would Choose Again – This is my freshmen year, and while things were certainly hectic in the beginning, I wouldn't change it if I could do it over again. Some people don't realize how much of Clemson is about studying - sure there's parties, and football season, but ultimately we all came here to get a higher education.

Great College Town – The town of Clemson has a great, almost stereotypical college-town feel. It is small, and located just outside of Campus. It's full of friendly people, and the local attitude toward students is very positive.

Guys & Girls:
Well I found my future husband at Clemson, so I'm a bit biased...but the guys here are pretty good. Engineers are the smart, usually cute ones, but unfortunately they're outnumbered by the amount of frat guys (we call them fratbags), which you can identify a mile off by their short shorts, visors, sperries, and sunglasses. If you're into that thing, great, if not, hang out with the math and engineer guys. As for the girls, there's a lot of ditzy sorority girls but you'll also find some great females that know leggings aren't pants.

Great Library – The library is huge and has most of everything you need, although study tables are sometimes hard to find. Athletic centers are great, including the gym, and Hendrix has great food as well as a bookstore and coffee shop.

Big Small Town – Locals are really nice to students, partly because most locals go to Clemson, went to Clemson, or watch Clemson football. Clemson is a little bland on weekends, but Greenville is less than an hour away and has great shopping and things to do. Clemson has a good amount of cultural activities going on and a pretty campus.

Clemson nightlife is good for a small town. We have a lot of bars downtown and the overall downtown atmosphere is really fun.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
