Guys & Girls:
The Guys Are HOTTT! Hmm! The guys are absolutely gorgeous! There are a variety of races and ethnicity on campus. On a typical day, guys tend to "dress to impress" or at least show a sense of style. Their interests are mainly sports, and of course maintaining their academic studies. Social life for guys would be hanging with their male friends, going out to parties and probably at some point joining a fraternity. Girls are always on point with their fashion. If you want to gain new tips on fashion, watch your peers. Most females I've encountered are pretty nice and sociable. Same with guys, they enjoy hanging with their girls and attending parties and events. Also, possibly joining a sorority. If a couple were to be on campus, their relationship is probably private, but it's known that they are indeed dating.

The athletic and student centers on campus are in tact and appealing to the student body. The centers are available for students usually on a daily basis. The libraries are very accessible, operating on a 24-hour schedule even on the weekends! The main library, Robert B. Cooper, is one of my most favorite places to study and/or socialize about group projects and assignments. There are always campus activities going on weekly, whether sports games, or events such as fundraisers, mixers, open mic nights, concerts, etc. Campus facilities are pretty much open to students, by the students, and for the students. There are tons of places to grab food, play games and bowling, work out, study and even more. Great Campus!

The winters here are very mild. We may get snow or an ice storm once, maybe twice a year, but it melts within a couple days. And they cancel school for it. Summers can be pretty warm and really humid though. But spring and fall are incredible! The changing leaves are gorgeous!

Buses Are Great – There are all kinds of options with the buses to get you where you need to go. There are buses that go by the parking lots and take you to the center of campus where classes are. There are also buses that go through the main areas of Clemson where a lot of the apartments are, so chances are you close enough to a route that can get you to campus. Buses run to the nearby towns as well. The buses through Clemson run late into the night. If you're on campus after 6 and need a ride to your car after the parking lot buses stop running, you can call a number and a bus will come pick you up and take you where you need to go. Oh, and the buses are totally free.

Not Very Diverse – This school is primarily made up of white, Christian, straight students. If you don't fit into that mold, you're on the outside. There are some student who can be racist and hateful towards those who are different from them. However, there are many campus-based organizations for students of color and also lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students that promote diversity.

i would definitely choose clemson if i had to do it all over again! it is an amazing school that has so much school spirt. football games are so much fun and there is always something to do! it is a great campus and great location. everyone is so friendly too!

Cops Care, but Don't Really Do Anything – the quad (frat housing where all the students tailgate) was shut down for the whole football season because the cops caught too much underage drinking. if you are at a frat house off campus though the cops rarely show up, but if they do they can't come into the house. students never really get in trouble with drinking besides an occasional MIP at football games.

Apartments Far from Campus – the apartments are all really nice but kind of far from campus. parking is horrible so most students have to take the CAT bus to and from the campus

The English department is very strong. Professors are helpful and make classes interesting and challenging. All the departments focus a lot on career development, with many of them requiring the students to do an internship before graduation.

The nightlife is great for those over 21. Drinks are cheap, and there are plenty of bars in walking distance of campus. There's also a bus system that runs until 3am, so you can get home safely. If you are under 21 there aren't many nightlife options.

The majority of people at Clemson are involved in Greek life. This being said, there are sororities and fraternities for everyone. However, if you are a guy and do not join a fraternity theres probably not a good chance you'll be able to go to any fraternity party.

All facilities at Clemson continue to impress me. They are all frequently renovated and kept up to date.

Food Science and Human Nutrition – I am a Food Science and Human Nutrition major at Clemson, and absolutely love it. The professors are amazing and always willing to help. The classes for my major are very geared towards students with lots of projects with faculty. The workload and curriculum is probably above average, as the majority of courses are science-related and include labs. There are lots of internships available to us as well as job opportunities through frequent job fairs.

i live on campus and the parking is set up so you have a permit for a lot next to your dorm. in a crowded area it is more of a pain but it isnt bad

So Much to Do and So Little Time to Do It – there is always so much going on here at clemson! there are so many activities and clubs and organizations. there is something for everyone!

Parking and Beer – The police force is very strict about parking. If you are a first time offender you can go to the police station on campus and get your first ticket canceled. Make sure to move your car when they tell you to for sports games, concerts and whatever else otherwise you can and will be towed. It's apparently very easy to get drinks onto campus. Depending on where you are and who your RA is, you can have drinks very easily. There's a policy where if someone gets wasted and needs to be hospitalized, if you call for help, neither you nor the person needing help will be punished. Getting into bars downtown is hard, so don't try.

Certainly Not a Melting Pot – Clemson's campus isn't very diverse. It's really homogenous. The school is quite largely white with sprinkles of other races (the other races being largely black, Indian, Chinese, and Japanese). Most people are protestant Christians, Muslims, or practice no religion. The students largely are politically unengaged and there is very little activism, liberal or conservative, on campus. There are two newspapers, The Tiger and the Tiger Town Observer, the latter is the conservative paper and the former is center right.

Drugs are not well-known about at Clemson. People do drink and use drugs; however, it's a personal choice and you're not pressured into jumping on the bandwagon!
College Junior 2011-10-15T17:07:51Z
CU TIGERS- BEST! Clemson's football team is beyond the most spirited and dedicated group of young men I've seen in a while. The school always dressed up in all orange Fridays and the spirit is ridiculous! Intramural sports are great too, and offer great ways to meet new people.

Campus facilities include the gyms, library, and all campus activities are great! Students get emails about upcoming events around campus everyday. The librarians are extremely nice and helpful. The gym has a lot of great equipment also and is open throughout all hours of the night!

CAT BUS – You pay automatically for it, use it. Also have tigertransit (a late night escort service that comes in handy). avoid using a car if possible, parking services loves to write expensive tickets.

I'm from around the Clemson area, but most students are out of state students. GIRLS ARE AMAZING IN ORANGE

nice options in Clemson House and the Lightsey Bridge Apartments, but these are mostly reserved for upperclassmen. avoid "shoeboxes" but Johnstone is always fun.

The sports here are crazy. CLemson's population quintuples on Saturdays in the fall. Death Valley is by far the best environment in college football. If you haven't been to a game, make it part of your college tours. It is louder than you can imagine. About 95% of students go to the games. There are always those that don't care for it but those kids are few and far between. Join IPTAY as a freshman so you don't have to sit in the Upper Deck though. Stand on the Hill for a game, its a great experience. Basketball is almost as popular as football. When Duke and UNC come to town, Littlejohn is deafening, great atmosphere. Baseball is in the Top 25 almost every year. Baseball in the spring in Clemson... you can't beat it. Volleyball is also pretty popular. Soccer is fun when we are playing conference games. Our golf team is usually nationally ranked. One of our sports wins a conference championship every year.

One Word = Amazing – Clemson is an amazing school. The people here are so nice. The social scene is good and academics here are important. My favorite thing about Clemson is the spirit here. Everyone is super excited about Clemson and we love our sports. Go Tigers! Football is huge and we pack Death Valley wearing Solid Orange.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
