Off Campus Living Is Easily Accessible – Living off campus is fairly easy to do at Clemson. There are many great apartment complexes that are within five minutes walks of Clemson's campus and have great rent/utilities price. There are also good options of living in apartment complexes on the lake with good rent and with a 7 minutes drive of Clemson's campus. Most landlords are very good at being your friend and helping you out with whatever you need. There are also many great complexes that provide you with your own spacious room and bathroom with rent at only $300. Most upperclassmen choose to live off campus because even though you sign a 12 month lease it's cheaper than living on campus.

Labs Stay Semi Crowded, Especially During Finals. The computer labs at Clemson serve their purpose well. Many people use the labs and definitely the printers are used. However most have their own computers and other portable devices so not everyone is reliant on a computer being provided by Clemson. The comfort of knowing that if you have a forgotten powercord or your computer breaks it is nice to know you have a reliable outsource for working.

Clemson University has a variety of undergraduate and graduate students. The process is sometimes frustrating because there is lots of competition. Clemson offer lots of university scholarships, but the student needs to apply for these scholarships. The financial aid office is great as they determine how much aid a student will recieve.I recieve a great percentage of financial aid. I suggest that upcoming students should apply for fafsa ASAP when income tax paper work is completed.

Clemson University has plenty of parties and limited amount of clubs. The good thing about Clemson is they have a university owned bus that carries students across campus. The bus transportation limits attempts of drunk driving Clemson is in a college town.

Clemson University has numerous residences to choose from including discount housing near campus. If you want to live off campus to save money Clemson has discount appartments near campus. The social atmosphere is excellent because most students are happy to be a Tiger and express how it feels everytime they get a chance.

Getting Around Tigertown – Transportation around Clemson's campus is all around pretty good. There are eight minute bus routes as well as thirty minute bus routes available to students both on and off campus. Parking decals whether living on or off campus cost around $150 and really don't allow for good parking. After six at night, the eight minute routes stop running, so if a student needs to get to their car, they have to call TigerTransit. Waiting can sometimes be difficult, and during bad weather pretty tough, but it is more convenient that walking.

Greek's Party Wayyyy Too Much – At Clemson University, Greek life is considered a high focused organization. Most of the campus is involved in greek life, and they put out the essence of "if I don't know you, I don't need to." They are very much so into partying, and rely on other students to do their work for them.

The facilities available for student use at Clemson University are great. The student center, Hendrix Center, has numerous food options as well as the Tiger Bookstore and the famous 56 Street Corner Ice Cream shop. Fike, the athletic center offers various workout and exercise equipment as well as classes for yoga and dance. The library has 6 floors, with decreasing noise as the floor number decreases. There are many campus activities going on around campus all the time. From car smashes to spring flings, they provide alot for the students.

The process to obtain financial aid was very easy and painless. They provided me with everything I needed to fill out. I didn't receive as much financial aid as I had hoped, but I did get some!

The town of Clemson id definitely a reason I decided to come here. The people who live here, as well as the students, are very nice and make you feel at home. Most people are huge Clemson fans, and are always excited to talk to Clemson students. There are always sporting events going on somewhere on campus.
The only downfall is that bigger entertainment attractions are a bit of a drive away. Shopping and movies are about a 20 minute drive into Anderson. However, the parties and nightlife on campus are definitely a blast!

The professors I have had so far have been really great, and are always willing to help out and meet with you outside of class. They are also really nice whenever I have spoken with them outside of an academic setting. My work load so far has been pretty heavy, but definitely manageable. Registering for classes hasn't been difficult. If I didn't get the exact class I wanted, there are plenty of other options to fulfill a requirement, and the class request process is worth while. The best place to study is in the library. There is lots of space for student to study, whether you are with a talkative group, or if you need silence. Most students are respectful of other student in the library.

Is terrible – Other schools have much better meal plans.

Visit often and understand what your getting into. Before you come here really visit and ask questions. This is just my opinion, but this place gets very monotonous. I stuck it out for 2 years and am transferring. I wish I had transferred last year but I wanted to be really sure. The people are great but there is nothing to do other then frat parties. There are a lot more northerners and that's great for diversity but not what I was looking for in a southern school. Really think about what you want in a school before you make such a long term decision.

Apartments Galore – There are plenty of choices for sophomores and upperclassmen to live off campus. They are reasonably priced and most of them are nice.
College Senior 2011-04-21T15:17:47Z
The food on campus is terrible. If you go to the dining hall don't expect anything great. There are places like the Canteen, Fernow Street Cafe, and Hendrix Student Center that have places to eat where you can't use meal plans to eat that are ok. But if you're on a meal plan then, tough for you.
College Senior 2011-04-21T15:15:53Z
There are plenty of labs to go to if you need to access a computer on campus and do not have your laptop with you. However, the new quota for printing is a bit obnoxious, you'd be better served with bringing your own and eating the cost of ink and paper.

Fast Food – The most recent and popular addition to the repertoire of restaurants near Clemson is cookout. It is always busy, has great food, and cheap. Other than that there are plenty of fast food options pretty close to campus and all of them tend to be student friendly.
College Senior 2011-04-21T15:06:23Z
Athletic Center – Have lots of equipment, but is small an lacking a few certain things that would make it great. The student union is really old and no one really hangs out there, however the student union is more up to date and more popular.

Love My School – Besides the parking, Clemson is a great school with loads of fun stuff going on all the time. The people are great and both the educational and social aspects of the school are wonderful.

Ticketing and Fines – Parking is terrible and the parking enfocement goes crazy with tickets. Your car can be in the wrong spot for about ten minutes before a parking enforcement guys comes and sticks a ticket on your windshield. They will still ticket you even if you are just unloading your car or something simple liek that.

The apartments are not that bad. They are set up like a real apartment complex, but the walls are a little thin so you can hear what your neighbors are doing sometimes. They come with a kitchen which is really nice and they keep the ground clean.

I would say that Clemson has the happiest students, everyone has so much school spirit. Everyone on campus is like a family. I also think that clemson's farms are a key part that set them apart. As an Animal and Veterinary Science major, i enjoy working on the farms to get experience

I Don't Know – I don't really like to party, or go to frat parties, so I haven't had much experience with Greek life. But members seem to enjoy being in their sororities and fraternities.
College Senior 2011-04-11T00:22:32Z
Transportation around campus is plentiful, free, and easy to obtain. The tiger transit is a great source for getting around campus after 6. The CAT buses are great if you need transportation to the many on campus parking lots.
College Senior 2011-04-11T00:18:26Z
Alcohol Usage – There is a lot of alcohol usage by the students at Clemson. I do not think that the usage is any different from any other non private college. Police and school officials have teamed up and have really tried to reduce the amount of alcohol consumption.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
