Time Consuming but Worthwhile Process – Getting financial aid involved a lot of time online filling out forms and keeping everything organized as well as dealing with the difficulty getting the admissions office to acknowledge the information sent by my high school. But, it was worth the effort because I earned enough money through grants and scholarships to pay for all my tuition.

Go TIGERS ! Clemson Tiger football is the finest in the land with the greatest fans alive!

My Mom's Dorm? Really? I'm a third generation Clemson student. I even got randomly assigned to the same dorm that my Mom stayed in when she was a student. When I moved in she said it looked exactly the same. From the stories she tells, I don't think it rocks nearly as much as it did 28 years ago when it was an all girls' dorm. But it is the best location- close to everything and within site of Death Valley, the football stadium.

I had all my different aids listed and how much. I had to either accept or decline my loans, grants, and scholarships.

Downtown is always live. Parties are also nice. There are CAT buses are here to take you where ever you need to go.

Although the financial aid process took a while, my scholarships did end up being applied to my account. The department was strict on the regulations to get the funds applied.

No Pressure – At Clemson, I have not once been pressured to do anything I was not comfortable with. I have also not been in the presence of any drugs since I have been here. It is easy to choose who you do or don't hang out with.

Amazing Food – Within a one mile walk there are a variety of coffee shops, breakfast dining, fast food, and sit down dining. The cost is very affordable for the average college student. Little Caesars' five dollar large pizza is the best value for your buck!

I had a great experience with financial aid, but I would especially encourage out of state students to apply for the honors college, because it seems honors students get first dibs on tuition waivers and other scholarships beyond SC-sponsored programs.

There is nothing like a Clemson sunset---purple and orange over Lake Hartwell, or burning bright behind the silhouette of Death Valley. They're breathtaking!

Downtown is for 21-up only or those with fake IDs, so the majority of undergrads rely on Greek events and house parties for nightlife.

Process Is Self-Explanatory – All of the financial aid you are receiving shows up in the online system and you can review it at anytime and make changes to it right from the screen.

Most of the parking spots for students are a pretty nice walk from dorms or classes, but its not as bad as some places. Its probably about a 10 minute walk from where I park my car to class.

Labs Aren't Usually Crowded, but Server Is Sometimes Slow – There are always a lot of students using the computer labs at Clemson University, but there are plenty of computers to go around. A lot of people use their own computers, too. When there are a lot of people in a lab, though, the server is sometimes a little slow.

In the summer, spring, and fall the weather is perfect; it never gets below 75. But in the winter it gets pretty cold, so make sure you have a heavy jacket! Usually by February it snows

Don't Be Stupid – As far as underage drinking and drug use is concerned, the school tries to keep it on the dl. If you're going to go crazy and drink every night and make meth in your room, you'll get busted. Otherwise, keep a limit on how much you do and don't go overboard.

Fike Is Awesome – The rec center at Clemson (Fike) is phenomenal; there is always a machine to work on or a place in the weight center to use, not to mention an indoor track, pool, and several different courts always available.

Catbus is definitely worth the extra you pay in tuition. They have them running until 3 a.m. The only downfall is certain ones don't run on the weekend; however, all the ones that go from campus to apartments run 7 days a week.

Guys & Girls:
Good Southern Girls – Most every girl you meet is going to be a good southern girl. You'll only run into 1 or 2 weird people per semester, unless you're in engineering. The boys are pretty chill, but it's a lot harder to find a great-all-around one. The only not awkward/design their own videogamers/cloest unibomber guys are either in greek life or club sports

Good for a Week, Not Worth Eating Every Day – Meal Plan is good for the semester, but if you get unlimited you'll never use it. best option is to get 15 meals/week plan. Also, don't forget to switch up the dining halls. It's easier to just go to Harcombe of Schilleter, but the food gets really old really quickly, and some days you don't want anything on the menu/everything they cook may look good, but tastes awful.

Go Tigers – Football is the only bearable thing at Clemson. Unfortunately people dress up for games. It is unacceptable to wear shorts and a t-shirt. Girls wear dresses while guys wear khakis, expensive polo, and expensive sunglasses. The football support is great but it kinda gets absorbed by how everyone has money and they like to show it.

I am in the shoe boxes and was placed deep in the bottom floor. We call it the dungeon because it is so crappy and far down. I get zero cell phone service and have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get service. The laundry is down the hall and it is so loud that I can't even hear kids knock on my dorm door. Many students are placed in places like this and unfortunately some of my friends in other dorms are worse off.

The gym is smaller than you would expect. If you are looking to bench or anything then you need to show up at least 15 minutes early and potentially wait even longer. If you are not into working out it is not a friendly environment to start. The lifting area is in the center of everything so all the hot girls watch you. I love working out and am very fit and I personally have to pay 80 for an off campus gym because I can't take all the waiting.

My Great Decision – I came to Clemson because it is the only university that has an architecture school. I did not want to go there at first, but I grew to it and began to miss it every time I leave. The registration process is simple. The professors are excellent and the class environment and libraries are very comfortable. Overall I have no regrets whatsoever for the decision I have made.

You Either Love It or Hate It – When it comes to Clemson it's all about sports. From the Football team to the Basketball team, the Tigers are what drives the students and town residents. Local attitude towards students is fair, and safety is rarely a concern. The campus is huge but the city/school offers an amazing free transit service. This is the third school I transferred to and I don't see myself leaving.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
