Love the weather here. Doesn't get way too cold and when you see that Clemson sunset of purple and orange, your heart will melt. Almost always perfect weather! Rains sometimes but it wouldn't look as pretty without all the nourishment for the plants and trees!!

Guys & Girls:
A bunch of cute, Southern men! Although you'll run into the occasional jerk, almost all are sweethearts.

Health & Safety:
Redfern Health Center is available to all students and is very convenient and relatively quick for appointments. As to safety, I've never felt endangered walking alone on campus-- whether that be during the daytime or in the middle of the night.
College Junior 2013-11-02T18:51:59Z
There are lots of computers on campus that are available to students. Not only are there a bunch in the library, but there are also a lot of hidden computer labs that not a lot of people know about!!

Campus housing wasn't too bad. The building I lived in last year was old but my RA was awesome and it was super close to my classes.

There are is one part of campus strictness that almost every Clemson students cannot stand: PARKING SERVICES. The honor code is also taken very seriously. Otherwise, Clemson is a fairly understanding place.

From what I've seen, Clemson has a perfect amount of partying. You aren't ostracized if you don't partake in drinking or drugs which I love but if you want to go out and have a good time, something is always going on!

Love marketing as a major and the faculty. It's been hard to get advising meetings because it is such a popular major.
College Junior 2013-11-02T18:45:23Z
The workload is heavy at Clemson but a lot of the professors really care about the students and are willing to help out.
College Junior 2013-11-02T18:44:15Z
There are some amazing off-campus housing options for students at Clemson and some that are not so good. Just depends on what you're willing to pay and when you're looking!

Hugely disappointed with Clemson's parking services. The parking employees stand on duty and write tickets for hundreds of dollars and often have no sympathy for students. Faculty parking is everywhere and student parking is a 20-30 minute walk from classes. Doesn't really help for getting to class on time!
College Junior 2013-11-02T18:41:31Z
It's so hard to get any help as an out-of-state student! I'm a transfer so that might have something to do with it but I'm really trying to get some help but haven't gotten anything from Clemson.

Although I don't have a meal plan this semester, I often hear of people going and enjoying the food at the dining halls. The only complaint I hear is that they aren't open late and sometimes the food gets monotonous.

Greek life is okay here at Clemson. Some organizations I know do a lot of community service, but most of them are known just for the parties they throw.
College Junior 2013-10-24T05:11:32Z
Clemson'e facilities are pretty good. We just built an Academic Success Center that is really great. We always have something going on so students will never get bored. They just have to make an effort to read the emails.

The food is edible, but it could be a lot better. Clemson is making moves to improve it, though. The dining halls have been renovated, so they're really cool to sit in and enjoy your meal.

This campus has many great opportunities from internships to co-op to study abroad programs. They do everything they can to make sure you graduate with a job and that you have the resources and skills to get it.

I haven't been very impressed with my school's financial aid process. The employees aren't very helpful, and they have messed up my financial aid multiple times. They have overcharged me, not let me accept my loan, and apply my scholarships. You need to make sure to stay on top of your financial aid status, because they will not notify you.The only nice thing is there is a financial aid office you can go to with your problems, and they will help you.

Underage nightlife is difficult. Almost all of the clubs are for 21 or older, so you barely seen underage drinking. The parties usually consist of frat parties, house parties, or apartment parties. The nice thing about frat parties is they have sober pledge drivers so no drinking and driving is involved. Almost every apartment or house party is fun. However, you have to have a designated driver, are stay somewhere in walking distance.
College Sophomore 2013-10-24T00:31:25Z
Transportation at Clemson very good. We have CAT buses which come to almost all off campus apartment/house complexes. This helps provide transportation for people without cars. The CAT buses come every thirty minutes and are for free. In addition, there are many apartment complexes close to campus that are in walking distance, or able to ride a bicycle from. Plus, there are multiple parking lots that provide places for people to park. These places require a parking pass, but the pass is not expensive at all.

Guys & Girls:
At Clemson University you will find a wide variety of boys. They can range from: southern charmer, city boys, country boys, urban city boys, or skater punk. However, the typical Clemson boy is a southern charmer, usually wearing Southern Tide or Polo. The typical girls here are what you would think of your "average sorority girl". The girls are southern belles. When you first come here, you think it is very southern, but the people are extremely nice. Everyone shows off their warm southern charm!

Underage drinking on campus they will send your to speak in front of a board but I've never heard anyone getting kicked out on their first offense. Underage drinking, honor code, and etc is mainy on a case by case situation.

Computers are located all throughout campus. I've never had trouble or ever had to wait to get on to the computers on campus. The wireless connection in the older dorms, Johnstone and the Shoeboxes, are always going out. No need for a personal printer, all printing on campus is free.
College Senior 2013-10-21T16:22:36Z
Beware of parking services! They will not hesitate in issuing tickets, which is very annoying since parking is limited on campus. If you are on the West side of campus its easier to wait for the Catbus of Tiger Transit than to walk with all of your luggage. All of the parking lots are located on the outskits of campus. If you need to park close to go to the library after hours its impossible sometimes. You dont need a car on campus but if you are driving to campus, there are no parking spots after the 10 o'clock class section.

I did not qualify for any of Clemson Univeristies scholarships but managed to earn private and state scholarhips. I was told my family makes too much, however, this is not the case.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
