Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Clemson draws a lot of students who actively participate in or love to watch sports. Those freshmen that arrive without an understanding of the Clemson athletic tradition find themselves in awe at the first home football game while 80,000 fans cheer on the Tigers as they rush down the Hill, a grassy area behind the home goalposts. Weekends at Clemson in the fall revolve around football, and students here wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sports are a way of life at Clemson. It is perhaps one of the best schools for you to watch or play any sport imaginable, from Division I to intramural. Club and intramural sports give you the opportunity to try something you wouldn’t believe a university would even sponsor—just don’t tell your parents you’re training with the Dixie Skydivers.

Excellent

Like any college - sports can differ year to year. However, the atmosphere on campus will never change. Us tigers love Clemson football and love to tailgate. Football is definitely the biggest sport but baseball and basketball closely follow. We all love the athletes and love the games.

Clemson Sports Are Excellent

Varsity sports are HUGE at Clemson! Fall Semester is ruled by football and Spring Semester is ruled by baseball. There are also club teams which are taken very seriously and are usually outstanding athletes that still want to have flexibility to focus on schoolwork and other organizations. There are also intramural sports which are mainly "just for fun," and anyone can play.
