College Prowler Take

Weather at Clemson is comfortable year-round. Being in the south, Clemson doesn’t face any extreme weather conditions; even the summer heat isn’t unbearable. If it does happen to snow, expect the whole campus to turn into a playground, as it has in the past.

Clemson’s weather can’t be beat. It’s got the best of every season and you get to see it all right here in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. You’ll appreciate the weather even more when the rest of the country is snowed-in and you don’t even have to wear a jacket.

Mostly hot. One December before break it was 80 for a week. It will be sporadically warm in winter and maybe snow two inches once a year, which mostly results in at least a day and a half of cancelled classes. But it does get chilly, so jackets are essential. It hardly rains, though. Just bring some suntan lotion and deodorant and you'll be fine.

It always gets pretty cool at night in Clemson, but the days are very hot in the fall and spring, with little rain. Winter is not too bad. You'll wear everything from a swim suit at Lake Hartwell to a boots and a scarf and jacket on a cold day.

Generally, its ridiculously hot here. Our summers are sweltering to say the least, and our winters are usually very mild. Spring and fall are absolutely gorgeous, especially since we are right next to the mountains. Bring lots of shorts and tank tops.

In my opinion, I am not too fond of the weather. I hope that one day I can move up North to someplace cool. It is muggy here when it is hot, but it can be beautiful. If you enjoy hot weather, Clemson is nice to be around. If you do not like humidity and high temperatures, you might like to go somewhere else.

The weather is the best part about Clemson! We have pretty weather most of the time, with low humidity and clean mountain air. It’s really hot at the beginning of the year and towards the end, but in the middle we have mild winter weather.
