Workload is stressfull but educational.
College Sophomore 2013-11-24T21:20:19Z
Its crowded to take public transportation but available
College Sophomore 2013-11-24T21:19:27Z
As a commuter I didn't purchase parking since they won't let freshman park at the main building which is also near the dorms. It was too expensive anyways.
College Sophomore 2013-11-24T21:13:32Z
Too expensive, I have lost 30 lbs easy from NOT eating.
College Sophomore 2013-11-24T21:10:37Z
culure and art are right on the mark, as far as expense in dining and local activities, a poor student will literally starve.
College Sophomore 2013-11-24T21:09:17Z
Its like pulling teeth, but its basically based on your portfolio and need, so I did well this year.

We dont have any athletic teams or facilities, we are an ART school. We share a campus that has sports, but we do not particpate in them. If someone wanted to, they probably can, but I don't know anyone that does.

Health & Safety:
Have not have to utilize any of these services.
College Sophomore 2013-11-24T21:06:24Z
It fits me, allows me to be creative, the people are great, the faculty is great. Would not attend anywhere else.

In addition to several local bars just in University Circle, Little Italy has at least two clubs. Though they are only for those above 21, there are attractions for those who can't drink alcohol. Plenty of restaurants, theaters for movies, parks, and smaller house parties are quite common in University Circle.

Cleveland is a big city and there is lots to do, but around University Circle, there is even more. Art enthusiasts will love the two different art museums we have within walking distance of our campus. Little Italy offers great food and dining. Restaurants line Euclid, and the Botanical Gardens are always showing colorful plants and flowers year round.

For the Cleveland Institute of Art, it's a little bit complicated. You have a lot of work to do, so socializing tends to be about working on projects with friends. Parties are not uncommon, but if it's a Greek Life party, it will be a Case Western Reserve Greek party, as the CIA is too small to have their own. CIA students are, however, allowed to enter Case's fraternities.

Guys & Girls:
All types or people of all races and ages
I've never seen such diverse school and I love it because everyone is treated like family.
College Junior 2013-07-15T01:57:06Z
Rains most days, very windy and bad winters with few classes cancelled
College Junior 2013-07-15T01:54:45Z
Fairly flexible with some rules and restrictions. Typically security at my school is ok with us staying at the school as late as the building will close.

Dining options are variable with many different types of food with different prices. Besides American foods like sandwiches and hamburgers (from Subway and Panera Bread), there are lots of international foods as well (from Indian Flame, Accent, Presti Pizza,...). Especially, the cost can be as low as 3.99, which is perfect for students. More importantly, most restaurants are located in a walking distance. I can enjoy a wonderful meal anytime I want in any weather condition. Also, food trucks visit our campus weekly and it make

The dining hall gets old after a while so it is up to you to try to mix it up. The dining hall is buffet style so u can make your own meals. If you want a break from it, there's always CaseCash that you can use in Chipotle or Tropical Smoothie

The drug scene at CIA is not bit at all. Very few students use, but it can be found if you really want it. Drinking is minimal and usually only takes place socially. It's not a big binge drinking school.
College Junior 2013-04-17T13:55:00Z
The dining halls are good. There are also a lot of restaurants in the area which are affordable and fast.
College Junior 2013-04-17T13:54:17Z
Only freshman live on campus, everyone else has to find a place off campus their sophomore, junior and senior year. The campus police patrol and they can be strict but there really aren't a lot of parties going on around the school.
College Junior 2013-04-17T13:52:28Z
They are ok. They're clean and large enough for two people. Some of the older dorms don't have A/C but they are trying to improve that.
College Sophomore 2013-03-29T05:19:04Z
CIA doesn't really have a campus. There are just two school buildings that are separate from another by about 15-20 minutes of walking. But it's a beautiful walk and the buildings are beautiful as well.
College Sophomore 2013-03-29T05:16:25Z
Taplin is pretty decent but upper class men housing is gorgeous.
College Sophomore 2013-03-29T05:15:22Z
The party's are normally upper class men but some times freshmen get to go. Any other party's or nightlife things you need a bus to get to. They are fun if you make the journey though.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
